Thank god, I’m not the only one who thinks this way. Imu’s main plans and what they want with Vivi are still unknown, but I don’t think it’s out of “love” for someone from the past. They seem more like a psychopath with obsessive tendencies (over control I guess).
@@WheatDos I don’t really consider that love. Possession yes, but possession =/= to love. That’s why many people fall into abusive relationships cuz they mistake possessive and jealous behavior as an act of love
I think gorosei just found some strange looking red eggs and transformed in a moment of their dreams shattering. Straw hat is means of protection that got Roger and Shanks to where they are. You may call it armor passed down from a king who lived 1000 years ago. I hope Shanks doesn't try to hit Imu with his sword cause we know where that's gonna end... Are we just watching Berserk for kids?
Had a thought: Brooke will fight Nasjuro. We already saw Zoro and him clash. And Zoro didnt look like he was in any trouble blocking him. Just his normal grim determination. But sword vs sword, ice vs ice. Grim, dead thing hiding inside a skin suit vs joyous, living, boisterous Brooke. Who, despite not having skin, is very alive? Yeah, I know. But I really dont think a fight between him and Zoro would be interesting.
Cant agree, makes no sense. You trying to hype gorosei as super strong characters and you make them fight brook? Brook/nami/ussop at this point are just weaklings that can take smaller characters or can fight in group, One piece already proven not being a boring shonen where each character has to fight another character every arc. So no reason for Brook to match someone like Nasjuro directly. Oda only selects a few more important now for big fights, and the others tend to help like i said in groups, and the idea of each character matching another because their power are similar, or the old idea of 10 nakamas vs 10 blackboard pirates is for me so old fashion and out of touch of how Oda likes to write. So i cant see that happening, if brook is 50/50 with Nasjuro, that makes the power creep of One piece completely fucked up. Like what is the reasoning for a normal level character, not even top 50 characters all of the sudden being fighting the gorosei that were presented as BEASTS, absurd beasts that even Luffy says they don't see to take damage. And lets remember 5 mugiawara were against SAturn ad they did 0, so why all of the sudden Brook can fight one of them alone?
@@TheKrenko trying to hype...huh? I'm talking thematically. I could give a shit about any power scaling and this entirely seems like an argument about power scaling. Ok, sure, I don't disagree that Zoro makes more sense from a view of only comparing combat prowess. But that's boring and not nearly as interesting as examining thematic parallels and such.
@@radaro.9682 "you" as in the story/Oda. They are trying to Hype Gorosei as strong, so fighting against brook wouldn't make much sense power wise. I understand the idea of both being connected to Ice and underworld/after death, but in this specific case i cant agree, because the power creep is just too huge to make sense for them to be able to compete. It would damage the narrative of them being so absurdly strong. Like i said, i think Brook at this point is mostly a character that will help in specific moments, just like he did with Robin vs Maria, so he might help, but he wouldn't 1vs1 someone like Gorosei. It would damage the story on the long run, because it would make look like all strawhats can achieve super high powers, instead of being more realistic with the idea that at this point, their character development is based in story and narrative more than it is based on fighting, and of course they are a lot of the comedy with stupid jokes aswell.
It wasnt zoro who blocked him Nusjuro blocked zoro and zoro went in with the momentum of getting thrown by jimbej Atlas sacrificed himself while zoro was still there Its pretty clear that currently zoro would not win against nusjuro
@@KeinProblem-uv5jh And if Nas hadn't blocked he'd have been hit. He cared enough about Zoro's attack he disengaged with his target and blocked. Zoro was about to prevent him from getting to his intended target whichever one actually "blocked" in a fighting sense. But blocking in the sense that I meant it originally would be more literally described as "Nas attacking Sunny, Jinbe launching Zoro and Nas, Nas breaking off attack to block, Atlas using the opening made by Zoro to detonate into Nas." If the sequence of events is off my original point of preventing Nas from reaching the Sunny still holds. It wasn't "Oh shit I gotta save them" it was "Another day at the office". Are they in a position to defeat the elders now? No, they still have to figure out how to do permanent damage. But the nitty gritty of trading blows is much more even than it looks. It's their stamina/immortality that makes them an issue, as we've seen them "killed" up to and including decapitation only to come back. It's Luffy's greatest strength turned on him.
I have heard many One Piece TH-camr’s, including yourself, bring up that in the Japanese culture there is a belief that all ‘things’ have a soul. Is this still a belief widely held in Japan today? I find, if true, this aspect of Japanese culture to be romantic! If many of us Westerners’ felt this sentimental about the objects we own and surround ourselves by. I believe our greedy hearts and minds would be all the richer for it!!! There are some Americans who have sentimentality and respect for our vehicles though! As a young man, maintaining my vehicle is ritualistic.
Going by this maybe imu is the other ancient weapon people speculate about and most likely the national treasure of marijoise if its not the strawhat. If he can command yokai in the same manner as momo and shira
One thing I am curios about is the differing colors of the cloud rings (Hoguromos?) that some ability users have such as Luffy, Yamato, Lucci, and the goresei. Are there important implications with the colors or is just a style choice by Oda-sensei? So far only those affiliated with the world government have had the black cloud rings and I am wondering if that is important.
Oh my god the last part of the video made me realize something - saturn attacks were invisible like when sanji got hit but it reminded me of madara limbo technique it could be the same thing and they need to both die at the same time or could be just like what the channel owner said imu needs to die at the same time
When fan translations first came out about Clover's full name i was excited because they said his name was Claíomh D. Clover. Claíomh (pronounced clee-iv) is an Irish word meaning sword. Im irish and thought it was cool to finally understand the deeper meaning. You must feel that way all the time. But it turns out his name is actually Clou D. Clover
Oda seems to repeat the same themes within an arc, and a big Egghead theme is what constitutes life and beings staying true to their nature even when they die or lose free will. I think the Gorosei serve Imu against their will. With the connections you made re them and the sea kings, Zunesha I wonder if they were allies of Joy Boy in the past. Or at least their bodies were.
In my opinion, Imu has (infinitely) many faces. Its true form is a black blob (which already is, somehow) than can turn into almost anything. A sort of "negative" version of Nika. The One Piece is going to be a pencil. The forces that make the plot are three: the ink (Imu), which corrupted the world; the rubber (Rufy), that is going to cancel Imu; the pencil (One Piece) that is going to rewrite history of humanity from the start, in the new era.
I add a note: in Japanese "Ink" is spelled "Sumi", which read backwards is "Imus". Moreover Imu Sama looks like as a fountain pen (its top looks like a crown!)
Everyone should have known this... law literally showed it already. Conquers will also be how they damage them permanently. It over rides the immortal surgery part
@@dweblinveltz5035 That's true, but a basic G5 punch is not comparable to a deliberate acoc attack, like even the gorosei had emphasize on their black bolds. But yeah, it's most definitely not that simple
I wanted to know what Smoker had to do with MHA but that it’s that Horikoshi sending in a drawing of Smoker as a kid and then Oda recreated it? That's awesome! (And the Horikoshi image is in volume 23). I love the Joy Boy is dressed like God Valley Roger. I think that’s what we were all expecting but it’s nice to have confirmation. And while it does look like Joy Boy's right arm is a hook and right leg is a peg, I'm more inclined to think it's just a weird perspective. There's only one character with a peg leg and that's Zeff. There's only one character with a hook and that's Crocodile. We are still missing someone with an eyepatch and I do think that Joy Boy. But Joy Boy having a peg leg, eyepatch, and hook, seems excessive, even for Oda. I would be more inclined to think he has all three though Oda does introduce someone else with an eyepatch. Then there will be three characters, one with each and the one character with all three. While Oda may have now killed the theory that Joy Boy was a giant, I don’t think it necessarily rules out that Joy Boy was a Buccaneer. Unless I’m getting my scales wrong here. I think we also got confirmation here that Imu and the Five Elders are actually connected. And Emeth having the Arabasta “X” is also really awesome and a nice callback.
Regarding the Imu hat thing I just think Imu is tiny Like small and the hat regular size Also I have a really long theory about the ancient war but no one wants to hear it and I think Imu is a tiny monkey Humanoid. I still think especially after 1122 that Joy Boy was a Monkey type Humanoid creature. (Golden Bell/ Lunar Pirates/ Emmeth first thinking its JoyBoy but on closer look he doesn't see a Monkey but a human with white hair and white clouds etc) Oda just doesn't show us yet because the wackiness and sillyness needs to be revealed while also being epic so we either see full joy boy at laugh tale or if someone tells of him in a flashback
Like you said,, I guess the only reason Saturn was left behind was because he travelled there physically by himself whereas others were summoned. Things are coming together slowly. 🤯
thanks Luna! there are 2 things that i want to ask you if these cases are possible to explain in your upcoming video.. why elders can 'walk' on the water? even saturn survived from drowning into the sea.. why saturn was still there in egghead while others went back to mariejoa?
Idk about the rest, but regarding Saturn people say it's because he was the only one that was with his body (on the marine ships) actually on egghead, while the others were "summoned"
All signs are pointing to the fact that Joy Boy Luffy and the house of D are all Immortal Dragons. Maybe D clan was the original rulers of the world or monarchs.

Great vid! let me preface by saying this : we're not entitled to anything and I don't want you to think I'm asking you to do more work, it would be super rude ! But I've been curious since Wano started in the manga/anime : I'm sure there's a lot of samurai movie/litterature (aside from Rakugo) references in Wano (as for japanese historical references most have been spotted I think), we, foreign fans would be super curious about that, but I guess that is a LOT of work😅 but maybe such topics have been a talking subject amongst readers on BBS/SNS, I don't know. (new viewer here, bikkuri shita, jozu eigo hanasemasu!)
I haven't seen anyone who has noticed the fact that Emeth has the height, horns, head shape, large and round chest, thin and small feathers, exactly as an Oars would be if he were wearing iron armor or if he were transformed into a cyborg, Emeth could be a transformed Oars...
It's been stated since Thriller Bark Arc that the ancient giants of the past were Oni Giants like Oars and his race, not the Elbaf giants. Emeth was probably an Oni Giant at some point. Also, Kaido was a descendant of those giants. This is why King thought Kaido was Joyboy.
the only thing i dont understand is if the elders are so old and have trained some time to get that next level haki. why are they so weak in actual combat?
Are there any clear images of the magic circle used by the Elders? I am wondering if it can be decoded somehow. Which also makes me curious, can the poneglyphs be deciphered by our world, or is the ancient language just artistic? On an unrelated note, but only because they are mentioned, I have recently been curious about the names or identities of the 6 sea kings who saved Fishman Island from Noah when Shirahoshi called them. They can speak, and with such size have probably been alive a long time. Obviously nothing is known yet, but I wonder if Japanese readers have tried giving them nicknames. I came up with some nicknames for them since they are otherwise nameless: Flamingoodle, Zebraman, Toothy, Frogface, Bigjaw, Bottomshark.
I neverr see anyone make the, in my opinion, super obvious connection between Imu and it spelled backwards Umi(sea). The sea seems to be the underlying theme behind the whole story. Its the sea that nullifies df powers and the sea that will wash away the world.
What do you think Rocks D Xebec? Is he descendants from ancient kingdom? He was said to broken may taboos, how deep is his knowledge of the void century secret if any? Joyboy wanted to be a king as mentioned by Emeth. Is it king of pirate or king of the world? Rocks D Xebec wanted to be king of the world, could Joyboy too have that ambition? There is not much details about Rocks D Xebec. We know Rocks pirate came to God Valley to take back the treasure that the World Government stole from Hachinosu island. Big Mom says in one of the manag panel, "let's just steal what we're after and scram". I assume she's talking about the treasure. In another one of the chat bubbles "i assume finders keepers", "they'll be mine!". All this point to the treasure. It seems like Rocks pirates are fighting among themselves for the treasure. It is also why Rocks pirates are defeated because they are individual and no teamwork. I'm sure they don't fight at all at God Valley. They run away after hearing of Xebec defeat. None of them have scars from the incident. In the manga panel of Rocks pirate, only Rocks D Xebec is not in the panel, we can see everyone from the pirate crew except Xebec himself. It means he wandered off on his own and then he fought Roger and Garp 1v2. Roger has the highest pirate bounty in history, but that's only because Xebec existence was erased off history by the World Government. I'm sure Xebec is a very strong individual given that it took Garp and Roger to team up against him. Another thing is that, the one that found the treasure that World Government stole was Roger pirates. The World Government or mysterious individual had cunningly swap the treasure and put a baby inside it. That baby was Shanks. Roger pirates open the treasure box and was surprised to see a baby inside it. The real treasure is probably the Nika devil fruit. Shanks and his crew stole it back from the World Government. This is only my assumption.
I always had this belief that Imu was a woman, and the more the story unfolds I believe she was perhaps even JoyBoys wife aka "the queen of queens" to the king of kings, Joy Boy. Until things went south for Joy boy and became the pirate king. Perhaps with her help as well joy Boy was then taken down as he became out of control which she may or may not regret but yeah that means she is probably immortal through science or a devil fruit. One Piece has always been a romance story, don't forget that ;)
@@dagan_origin I believe Joyboy was at one point the "king" of kings but he wanted to be even more free which only left him to go for the most free of all all Kings the Pirate King. That probably didn't go down so well with the other forces who formed an alliance to take him down. And as we perhaps are learning there was many betrayals to prevent him from becoming the Pirate King which then lived on as his will.
Unproved theory with no substance and I’ve hated the discourse about it. The way the gorosei speak implies it was probably Shanks but it’s lost in translation. Also, we don’t actually see anything to do with the appearance of the supposed Figarland/gods knight figure in 1121.
@@ldptdogbone9334I wouldn't rule it out at all to not think Figarland would have another son and that Oda would make him look like shanks especially if twins separated at birth it seems like a very Oda thing to add that kind of important character so late in the game

Imu’s main plans and what they want with Vivi are still unknown, but I don’t think it’s out of “love” for someone from the past. They seem more like a psychopath with obsessive tendencies (over control I guess).
It may be "love" like "I need to have him/her!"
Possession rather than Affection.
@@WheatDos I don’t really consider that love. Possession yes, but possession =/= to love. That’s why many people fall into abusive relationships cuz they mistake possessive and jealous behavior as an act of love
@@lazystargazer It's not about being love, it's about if IMU thinks it's love.
It wasnt zoro who blocked him
Nusjuro blocked zoro and zoro went in with the momentum of getting thrown by jimbej
Atlas sacrificed himself while zoro was still there
Its pretty clear that currently zoro would not win against nusjuro
Garps galaxy impact shows him flash into outerspace surrounded by galaxys using haki.maybe he teleported
Imu is Vearth
Going by this maybe imu is the other ancient weapon people speculate about and most likely the national treasure of marijoise if its not the strawhat. If he can command yokai in the same manner as momo and shira
as long as Imu is female, I am happy
One thing I am curios about is the differing colors of the cloud rings (Hoguromos?) that some ability users have such as Luffy, Yamato, Lucci, and the goresei. Are there important implications with the colors or is just a style choice by Oda-sensei? So far only those affiliated with the world government have had the black cloud rings and I am wondering if that is important.
ive been looking for a one piece channel that made by Japanese person that speaks English🫡 thanks for making this channel sir
great music choice
This is very interesting. It would also explain why Imu hides in the castle to avoid the sorrow experienced with daily life.
Being able to balance that can on your head was so cool 🤯🤩
Oh my god the last part of the video made me realize something - saturn attacks were invisible like when sanji got hit but it reminded me of madara limbo technique it could be the same thing and they need to both die at the same time or could be just like what the channel owner said imu needs to die at the same time
glad i found this channel

Moreover Imu Sama looks like as a fountain pen (its top looks like a crown!)
bro was cooked, he guessed haki could nulify the gorosei's ability

I think Imu is a tonata.
Regarding the Imu hat thing
I just think Imu is tiny
Like small and the hat regular size
Also I have a really long theory about the ancient war but no one wants to hear it and I think Imu is a tiny monkey Humanoid.
I still think especially after 1122 that Joy Boy was a Monkey type Humanoid creature. (Golden Bell/ Lunar Pirates/ Emmeth first thinking its JoyBoy but on closer look he doesn't see a Monkey but a human with white hair and white clouds etc)
Oda just doesn't show us yet because the wackiness and sillyness needs to be revealed while also being epic so we either see full joy boy at laugh tale or if someone tells of him in a flashback
ty gonna listen to this while my daughter and i are headed to bed. love your channels :)
Like you said,, I guess the only reason Saturn was left behind was because he travelled there physically by himself whereas others were summoned. Things are coming together slowly. 🤯
Another great one as always
thanks Luna!
there are 2 things that i want to ask you if these cases are possible to explain in your upcoming video..
why elders can 'walk' on the water? even saturn survived from drowning into the sea..
why saturn was still there in egghead while others went back to mariejoa?
Idk about the rest, but regarding Saturn people say it's because he was the only one that was with his body (on the marine ships) actually on egghead, while the others were "summoned"
I was waiting for an update on the latest chapters.
All signs are pointing to the fact that Joy Boy Luffy and the house of D are all Immortal Dragons. Maybe D clan was the original rulers of the world or monarchs.

let me preface by saying this : we're not entitled to anything and I don't want you to think I'm asking you to do more work, it would be super rude !
But I've been curious since Wano started in the manga/anime : I'm sure there's a lot of samurai movie/litterature (aside from Rakugo) references in Wano (as for japanese historical references most have been spotted I think), we, foreign fans would be super curious about that, but I guess that is a LOT of work😅
but maybe such topics have been a talking subject amongst readers on BBS/SNS, I don't know.

Such a masterpiece 🔥🔥👏👏💫
I haven't seen anyone who has noticed the fact that Emeth has the height, horns, head shape, large and round chest, thin and small feathers, exactly as an Oars would be if he were wearing iron armor or if he were transformed into a cyborg, Emeth could be a transformed Oars...
He's even dressed like little oars jr with his suspenders and belly armor in the latest chapter flashback
That's basically the Buccaneer build with horns. Much more than the very middle of the Bell curve human looking Elbafian giants.
Say it with me now.... Jamaican beef patty squad🤘🤘
the only thing i dont understand is if the elders are so old and have trained some time to get that next level haki. why are they so weak in actual combat?

What if imu is the devil and the gorosei sold their soul to imu thats why they somehow like bound/link to imu? 😅
That's actually a very logical theory

I always had this belief that Imu was a woman, and the more the story unfolds I believe she was perhaps even JoyBoys wife aka "the queen of queens" to the king of kings, Joy Boy. Until things went south for Joy boy and became the pirate king. Perhaps with her help as well joy Boy was then taken down as he became out of control which she may or may not regret but yeah that means she is probably immortal through science or a devil fruit. One Piece has always been a romance story, don't forget that ;)
emeth said he couldn't make joyboy king
imu is a man
@@dagan_origin I believe Joyboy was at one point the "king" of kings but he wanted to be even more free which only left him to go for the most free of all all Kings the Pirate King. That probably didn't go down so well with the other forces who formed an alliance to take him down. And as we perhaps are learning there was many betrayals to prevent him from becoming the Pirate King which then lived on as his will.
So joyboy got lily but imu dont then all these happened
Ah, so you're the Dawn Dusk guy?
What about the theory that it wasn't Shanks in chapter 907 but his brother...?
Unproved theory with no substance and I’ve hated the discourse about it. The way the gorosei speak implies it was probably Shanks but it’s lost in translation. Also, we don’t actually see anything to do with the appearance of the supposed Figarland/gods knight figure in 1121.
@@ldptdogbone9334 there are enough hints, particularly as Oda did not add a scar to that scene in the volume release. Oda fixes errors in the volumes.
