Great show as always.Looking forward to playing wall town wonders when my son gets his quest 3 for christmas.Playing metro at the moment and thinks its very good.
Great ep fellas 👏 I think I'll buy all 3 of those fun looking games and possibly return them like pete 😂 returning games I dont like on quest has to be MY favorite quest feature 😀 I returned walking dead s&s twice before I really locked in and loved it
I can’t imagine a system where you can’t refund games. As a consumer it’s so important to me to have that try before you buy element. Even with review sites and podcasts and such, there’s just no way to ever be sure that I’ll like a game until I try it
Excellent as always! About the game audio, I watch the podcast so I enjoy some game volume coming through. Its great to see novel games like Bounce Arcade coming out. I'm curious about the opposite side of that, are there any game types that you guys wish would come to VR but haven't yet? Mine is first person tower defense like the Orcs Must Die or Sanctum franchises. I'd disappear into VR for an eternity or two if a well made game in that genre came out.
Thanks, I definitely had fun doing this one! For me the lack of RTS games is a real shame. Also, good one on one PvP games are sorely missing. Back in the day, before my pc became completely obsolete I used to LOVE playing The Unspoken and Sparc. I’d give anything to be able to play them again on Quest. Also games like Final Assault and Brass Tactics were way ahead of their time. I’d love to see them come to standalone platforms as well
@@korvorn let me know what you think. I remember that I wrote a review for it (I think it got a 7) and right before we published it they implemented a range of changes that (in theory) addressed a lot of my issues. I had moved on to covering something else and never got around to checking if the updates had made a meaningful difference to the game. Really interested to hear your thoughts
Hello! Pete, sorry once again. Omar, don't any of you guy's ever change. Metro had been on my radar for a while, I did complete it, so I wasn't that aggrieved, either by the game, or your opinion. However, I stand by comments in terms of how uneven a gameplay experience it feels over the two halves. You've all introduced myself and many to a myriad of games I'd have never entertained buying, and been level headed with your scoring, often brutally so which I respect 👍👏🙏
Oh I get it! Pete's hoping to dramatically expand his chappy audience by luring in all the I Am Cat devotees only to scratch them fiercely or stroke them gently while purring?? Till the next podcast when all is revealed 😂
Ah, you have me figured out. I shall be fickle and make people jump through emotional hoops as I switch from loving, to distant and then to aggressive for no apparent reason. Truly, I Am Cat
@peteaustin5472 No longer shall people shout Potatohead. You are reborn as "Strokes". Like a fortunate geezer who always gets out of a tussle. But then again.... Pete "Strokes" Austin is an unsettling name combination
I got Starship Troopers with a friend, but unfortunately we both got bored pretty quickly. After that we decided on Last Stand and played until the quest battery died. We were absolutely thrilled. It's a shame that Ember Souls wasn't covered in this episode, which was unfortunately a bit disappointing for me, and I'm still eagerly awaiting Doc's PPSSPP episode. Saying snes is probably a British thing. Another great episode! It's nice that you maintain the format like this and still do tests. I would only strongly advise you to invest in better microphones.
I hope I didn’t oversell starship troopers for you. I did try and make sure that I didn’t claim it was a “good” game, just that it wasn’t an absolute turd like I first suspected. We had originally planned to cover Ember Souls. In fact, we even had it in the intro, but we ran out of time and had to cut it. I think we will be covering it in the next episode, but as a small spoiler… My little speech at the start of this episode was very much based on that game.
@peteaustin5472 oh yea classic game list 👌 I got my money on you pete , I always cheer for the underdog. But you might want to skip that Nock game. You know that game makes u queezy
@@TheMasterceasar no way, dude Nock stays in! That one doesn’t make me queasy at all! I actually love the motion in Nock. Plus I know I can beat Omar in that one😂
Me too! Last I heard the developers got some feedback from some TH-cam heavy hitters that the game was not in a good state, so they delayed release to go back into development. Haven’t heard anything about it since.
Ah, well spotted but don’t worry. I didn’t have the heating on and the bass doesn’t live there normally. Usually that spot is occupied by the kids’ play kitchen, but I moved things around for the recording. Play kitchen’s are too awesome and would no doubt distract viewers, so I swapped in the humble acoustic bass

Great show gents. This is my new favorite games podcast.
This makes me very happy indeed

@@korvorn did you try Captain Toonhead? It wasn’t perfect but it was a good start to blending top down tactical tower defense with first person action

Hmmmm… VR Olympics you say?
Ultimechs
No More Rainbows
Racket nX
Nock
Gods of Gravity
