Having hiked several thousand miles myself over the past ten years, I’m still in the habit of placing my phone in a ziplock baggie before I put it in my trouser pocket. Dorky, but I’ve never had a lint or dirt issue. Thanks for sharing your trip with us…Cheers!!!

Was in Arles earlier this year and saw a few shells on lamp posts and remembered oh yeah..a camino starts here! Having already walked Le Puy to Santiago, Arles is now on my list of routes. Welcome back, glad to see you back in Spain!
We just did Sevilla to Merida in May and there were hardly any pilgrims. We saw far fewer walkers than you did. Enjoying this series

@@Walk_with_Efren I arrived at 7pm in Sevilla airport. Caught a taxi and started hiking ASAP. Was fun!
The Via de la Plata looks interesting but daunting with little support on stretches. Buen camino Efren
It wasn't as bad as I thought or heard. You make yourself a sandwich for lunch the night before, and you are ready to go. As for the distances, you have the option to do either 15 km days or 35 km days 😆
We were on the same two flights on the same day! Saludos desde Hialeah! Big fans here.

That's a lot of gear you're carrying. Fully loaded, with food water, how much weight is it?
It is a lot of weight, but I had it perfectly balanced, so I didn't feel any stress on my body. I made it all the way to sjpdp without injuries and no blisters.

I changed my plans and decided to continue on to Rome after I reached Santiago. I made it all the way to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and will continue in September of this year. I will do the Arles csmino sometime in the next couple of years
La vía de la plata va a gijón no a Santiago
Es cierto, pero la gran mayoría de peregrinos toman el camino de Sanabrés hacia Santiago. yo ya hice el camino de San Salvador asi que solo me quedaria los dias des de Granja de Moreruela hasta Astorga
