It was pretty much the Infinity War/Endgame for us 90's kids at the time. In retrospect,it was far from perfect, the plot and character development and so on,but by God this movie to me,was, and still is MAGICAL.

Brandon Ninja i agree and my personal favorite, supposedly a reboot is in the works, hopefully they will make a cpl of them so they don't have to cram all the story into one movie, that's where Annihilation suffered, way too many characters for it to be so over the top, which created the cheesiness...and not having the main cast aside from robin hurt too...lol i could go on n on with the mistakes of part 2 but im definitely waiting for the reboot

And the weirdest thing ever?...it's freakin' PG13 yet Anderson absolutely made it work somehow. The cast that they got for this was just SPOT ON. I can never get tired of this flick.
the reboot series was good, but it lacked what it needed and it needed some of the older cast from the original film like Robin Shou and Christophe Lambert as both Liu and Rayden respectively considering they managed to get Cary back for season 2. I think they should have gotten the guy who played Shao Khan for the series too. The good thing about it was, was that apparently there will be a season 3 and a mortal kombat 3 movie which will remove Annihilation out of canon. But don't quote me on that, it's just what I read on wikipedia.
Probably didn't like the idea of not being the main character. Especially since the main character's actor was making his first appearance in American film. And street fighter sucked balls........ big ones!!!
+samuel vic Its kind of funny because Johnny Cage was inspired on JCVD (remember the leg split punch to the balls?), it would be like JCVD playing as himself.
The Johnny Cage v Scorpion fight is one of the best choreographed fights of all time. By far the best in the movie, and still stands as one of the best as of today
