I find taking aspects that I want from other models and redesigning the model to how I want it or just designing any object from scratch is very addictive, Blender is what I like to use for this, and the printing is just the last step.

Yes, yes, yes. More tools in the toolbox is always a good idea! I recently just printed a block 100% infill and just drilled the holes I wanted with a regular drill to mount a backup camera. Is there a way to drill holes in software? Sure, but with more tools it's easier for me to do things "quicker" and I still want to learn the software along the way eventually. TH-cam algorithm sent me here, it's scary how well it knows my hobbies now. LOL!

I wanted to add as I use CAD, but this video is great one tip that I do is I have a folder on my PC that I call tools for my bambu slicer , basically for example I made a simple image of a skrew hold so one cylinder for the hole and a larger cylinder on top big enough for the head to sit in and a simple chamfer along the bottom and f the head to make it sit nicely.
Now using bambu I can add a negative part, and load that screw and bam I have the ability to cut a hole out where I want to screw an item to a wall.
Long story short as you make miner adjustments start saving these items you make so you don't just have basic shapes to pick from.

I forget, doesn't MS 3D Builder have this capability as well. Seems does, though has been a few years and invasive things in my mind controlling that don't help. Neat to see the capabilities integrated into the slicer apps now a days.

Quick note you know you can use fusion 360 for free as a hobbiest right.
It's a bit if a pain to set up because they try to hide it to force you to buy it, but iv been using it for years.
I don't sell 3D parts I just enjoy making functional parts for around the home.

If your slicer doesn’t support this, you can always do this in a 3d modeling program. Workflow will be a bit different for each but combining things and cutting them apart is supported in every 3d modeling program I know about . That’s the thing about them, you don’t have to learn everything at once, learn what you need to do what you need now and come back and learn more later.

Did you even watch the whole video before you decided to share exactly what the video states?

This is the CAD equivalent of Photoshop, and it's pretty cool.

Bambulab A1C printer? I never heard of that. There is A1 and A1 mini. Am I missing something?

      That's a mis-speak. I meant to say X1C.
