Been listening to the Fantastic ZZ Top for the last 40+ years & they have always been 1 of my favorites. Hard to beat pure talent, showmanship, and a pull on your heart with every stroke. They truly defined what a rock band is & should be.
I’ve listened to this show multiple times now, and I have to say I think it is one of my favorite and also best sounding performances I’ve seen of ZZ Top ever. Thanks so much for posting this.
Thank you so much and God bless you a million times for posting this great and precious concert video. They look and sound amazing. I lucked out and was able to see ZZ Top in concert two times. At minimum, their live performance was 100% perfection. They have this completely original and unique hybrid style of heavy blues with solid driven hard rock aggressive vibe to them. Even now after so many decades it is difficult to pin point the exact words to properly describe them. And of course so many beautiful guitars and basses throughout the set. 🏁🏁🏁❣💯
ZZ TOP THE THREE ROCKINGST AMIGOS EVER REST IN PEACE OUR DEAR FRIEND DUSTY HILL AMEN!! I SAW ZZ TOP ON THE ELIMINATOR TOUR AND THEY BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NYC WHAT A GREAT SHOW THEY GAVE US !!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL AMEN !!!!!!!!!!
Wish i coulda saw Dusty at least once before he passed.. now im racing to get to see Billy before we lose the opportunity to ever see these legends again. As old as Billy is... its insane theyre still this good. Billy is literally one of the biggest guitar legends of ALL TIME... his 70s stuff is untouchable. Wild and tamed at the same time. Tasteful and explosive at the same time.. and let me tell ya it seemed nobody could play as tasteful as Billy in the 70s in terms on the straight blues.. the way he would go from major to minor and never miss a beat.. for a 3 piece.. i mean seriously yall it gets overlooked.. These dudes are as good as it gets. ✌️❤️🤘 RIP Dusty
I remember seeing the Worldwide Texas Tour (yes, with the animals onstage), and Muddy Waters opened for them. Back then it was a race to catch the original blues legends while they were they were still here. Now we’re in the next phase. I hope it continues into another generation. ❤
Frank Beard is one of the most underrated drummers in rock. This vid Billy's voice is wrecked, but he carries on. Still the best dance moves for a trio. Monsters, Texas monsters.
Typically, I don't expect much from these so called TH-cam posters who put out a shit product and then insert a plea for donations to support their channel. This particular video submission is well done, sounds great. It also brings back some great 80s memories of attending shows at Wings Stadium. The fact ZZ Top still sounds so good thirty plus years later is a testament to the fact 70s bands are the very best live acts to see. A tip of the cap and a shot of Crown to the author who shared this post! Much appreciated sir.🥃
@@ppositive-energy I disagree. Two completely different types of bands. I will give it a tie. Saw them both, ZZ top alot, Rush not as much. Neal Peart, best drummer ever. No contest. Billy one of the best guitar players ever, Jimi said so and bass, I'll stick with the bearded one. I like basic. Same three guys, same three chords. I guess I'm a beer drinker and hell raiser.
@@ppositive-energy Thanks Zack. Saw them for the first time in a little hockey arena in the now famous town of Lewiston, Me. BTY the same venue where Ali, then Cassius Clay fought and knocked out Sonny Liston. It was the Fandango tour. White C &W outfits and fuzzy white guitars. Frampton opened for them or vice-versa, I was a little fuzzy myself. My wife to be and i walked to the show as it was only a couple of blocks away from her apartment. That was in 1975. Still married. Damn near 50 years. Still rockin.
Hope you are doing well Mr. R. I can't help but watch Dusty's fingers during Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers and his finger plucks do not match up with the bass notes we are hearing. I'm pretty sure Dusty's vocals and maybe some of Billy's are pre-recorded as well. I really wish I could have seen this band in its prime. Great filming and audio as usual. Have a good one.
@alzeppelin I'm sure the were using prerecorded stuff as far back as the 80s. We saw them on Eliminator, Afterburner, twice on Recycler, and Antenna tours.
A nobody first time looking in Kalamazoo good job guys buzz in lookin at from land under the world rip dusty hill mate go forward Zztop 😅 rock it today then rock it tomorrow future , 1:20:16 jamming there is black flys wind blows dusty hills rock in never goes bass on Les Paul ever music played anywhere mate🎉
@@kononogurzow6675 So in 2019 that would have been a S10 which was the Samsung flagship at the time. Obviously had decent zoom, image stabilization and apparently had two built in mics. If it had been recorded with the standard Apple at the time it would have been considerably worse as Samsung was still ahead of the tech curve over apple at the time. Some of these smart phones are impressive. My LG V60 has 4 built in mics and would have provided better audio. But probably not on the video end. This is all around amazing for a mobile.
Going to be an unpopular post, but keep in mind I don't care if bands do this and I love ZZ....the amount of backing tracks that come in and out, especially around Billy's guitars in astounding. You can really see it in Gimme All Your Lovin'. The verses the guitar is pristine then he stops strumming and you can hear two rhythm guitars going. Then the guitar break happens and suddenly the guitar is live and it's not great. There's also a large chunk of his vocals as well I honestly don't care but when the world gives shit to KISS, Motley Crue and others for using tracks this way, I don't understand why ZZT get a free pass. I love NIN and a lot of there music is backing tracks. It would be hypocritical of me to diss any other act for it. I just find this weird. My rule of thumb, use backing tracks if you want but give me a fucking great show. KISS, needs backing tracks to get a decent sound live, put on an epic concerts that is fun and entertaining. That's all I ask....

The bass guitar is also consistently audible which I love and most important, Dusty was so talented to be able to glue the guitar and drums together.
