Hey bootwizard love the video! Im a size 8.5 us in nike similar to lockhart he mentions full size down being 7.5 however he then says he went 7 meaning obviously 1.5 size down just bit confused just ordered these 7.5 full size down hoping they work out.
So Andrew would say he's a US8 and for Nike tends to be half up at an 8.5 so for him a full size down from his normal size is a 7. Hope that makes sense

If you live in EU these are around 205EUR including shipping and taxes. This price range makes them same price as bigger brands top silos during sales minus free shipping and free return. I just checked and where I live you can even get Mizuno MIJ a little cheaper with free shipping and free return...
I'm not totally sure what you're getting at here. It sounds like you're trying to be negative but considering how high the quality of these boots is, I don't think that your price based argument is logical or fair. They are cheaper than big brands at full price even with shipping and taxes included coming from Japan, as you point out big brands only meet those prices on sale and you don't get a premium hand crafted boot. Take your Mizuno comparison as they are both Made in Japan, you still have to get the Mizunos on a pretty heavy discount to even get close to this price, a price you're able to get all the time rather than relying on sales. That's not to mention that in review terms comparing sale products to full price products isn't really a level playing field. Adding shipping and taxes can be fair. But they're still coming in at a matching price to heavily discounted MIJ Mizuno boots. Of course you're right there is no free shipping, but, even with the shipping cost the boots don't exceed the price of big brands with free shipping, so, the only real downside I see here is no free returns. If you prefer to buy boots from big brands there's absolutely nothing wrong with that and they obviously make great boots, buy whatever you enjoy, but I don't think that is really any reason to disregard Adler unless you're really in need of free returns.
@@BootWizard I'm not being negative I'm just realistic. Price comparison from your video (165EUR Adler no tax, no shipping? vs 270EUR Nike 20% UK VAT included, limited edition full retail price) is in my opinion super Adler biased. Yatagarasu for most EU countries (and other countries with strict customs office) are more like 145EUR for shoes itself, ~27EUR for shipping and additional 19-25% VAT depending on country. In the end you must pay ~45% extra on top of 145EUR. Now imagine I didn't hit the size jackpot first time and had to send them back - pleasure of trying imported shoes would have cost me 27EUR*2 for shipping, plus ~35EUR VAT (good luck trying to get this back from customs) - total 89EUR or 54EUR if I'm lucky to get back VAT. In your video nowhere did you mention magnitude of potential additional costs, whole "price" segment of the video for me is like "wow, 165EUR hand made MIJ full K-leather vs 270EUR big brand not even hand made rip off" with I think is not true. In your video you said "we are not really worried about shipping costs..." Really?!? Not even worried if shipping and taxes can increase price by up to 45% for big percent of your viewers? I assume channel is aimed for UK/EU/US audience. All above doesn't make Yatagarasu less quality, I trust you on the "quality" segment of your video, but as I i said its not 165vs270EUR comparison but more like 205vs220EUR package comparison and the issue of potential costly return.
@@cnk191 Even if we take all of your calculations as universally applicable and call the Adler €205 as a base level for everyone. It's still not €220 Vs €205, it's still €260/€270 Vs €205. I don't know where you've pulled €220 from for a comparison, that's just not the case. So, worst case scenario, they're €55 cheaper than a Nike boot and you get hand crafted MIJ. That's assuming you're getting your Nike boots with free shipping, Pro Direct Soccer charge £5 shipping inside the UK and around £8 for Europe, Unisport to my knowledge only offer free shipping to Denmark and maybe Sweden €16 to a vast majority of places in Europe and insanely more outside of that. Of course you can find places with free shipping, direct from Nike for example, soccer.com in the US you tend to get free shipping, but most of the companies I've mentioned outside of Nike direct don't offer free returns, PDS not outside of the UK Unisport not outside of Denmark etc etc. What I'm trying to do here isn't add money onto the potential of a Nike boot sale, I'm pointing out the vast variances that happen depending on where you live and where you buy from and this applies worldwide, in order to give an accurate price breakdown the amount of things that need to be considered country to country is huge and really just not plausible to break down and give accurately to all viewers, the only time I tend to mention shipping costs is on things like grip socks where a multi purchase will save you money. If we are to use the top regions viewing my channel you'd need the US, UK, Singapore, Australia & Germany to be considered as a top 5 the cost of import and shipping varies wildly with the Adler boots and your access to free shipping and returns also varies wildly with Nike boots. So, if we are being as fair as possible, we can't apply a blanket free shipping free returns idea to every person with every Nike boot but it is best case scenario, but we can't always assume best case scenario. We can assume that they're able to buy them at the full retail price with tax already included which of course does bump the price of the Adler and maybe is something that we should have mentioned. Although considering that one of my top 5 locations is Singapore which I believe has a 9% GST compared to for example me here in Ireland at 23%. Again makes things very complicated, then you can consider that a large number of countries offer different rates depending on the value of the product and can be 0% up to a reasonable amount, again, depending on the country. This is why I said we don't worry about shipping, because people could be and are watching from everywhere, same applies to import costs. Maybe we should have mentioned "you need to factor in shipping and import for your region" but hopefully you can see why it's almost impossible to factor actual tax and shipping costs into the price given. Agreed you've definitely potentially got an issue if you have to return and buy again considering tax and shipping costs being doubled, but that's why we had a sizing advice section and if it's not a risk you want to take then that's absolutely fair enough.
@@BootWizard unfortunately he has some point. I just grabbed Mizuno Alpha MIJ a short while ago for 175 euro with free 30day return in middle of the EU. And the other MIJ models are more often than not discounted to popular brand price ranges. Sizing can be pretty wild with japanese brands so i like my easy returns as well.
@@khelgarironfist3301 right, but you're talking about getting a boot on discount and on sale here, that's an entirely different conversation. I can't start comparing the sale price of boots at a specific time on a review that is going to be on TH-cam indefinitely, it has to be compared to full price availability. I mean I found a pair of Adler on sale recently on eBay for £100. Does that mean that they're all of a sudden cheap? No, it's just what's available at the time and the same applies to sales. In my view you cannot use sale pricing to justify if a boot is considered cheap or expensive by comparison
Are there no bladed stud versions of these with more aggressive traction for FG? Shame the sole looks way too tame lol. Japanese leather brands are somewhat obsessed with full conical studs. Mizuno finally brought out something with more bladed studs in the name of Alpha, but they are full plastic..
The outsole is all conical, although for me perfectly acceptable for an FG pitch, it's certainly not designed to be an AG boot. Not the most aggressive for sure, but still good for FG and in general you wouldn't expect to get a bladed stud on a full heritage style leather boot imo With regards to the Alpha being plastic, so are most FG stud patterns, almost all of them in fact. Obviously you have the carbitex on some of the recent ish Xs and the carbon fibre on the new Puma Ultra Carbon, but almost everything is full plastic.
@@BootWizard with plastic i meant the upper material not being leather. I've been looking for a modern leather boot that is not thin and have somewhat aggressive FG studs which seems pretty impossible somewhat. Only rebula cups came close and Tiempo 10 (not leather i know).

Great boot unfortunately no 11.5 US sizes .
that is unfortunate, they might extend their size range though, keep your eyes peeled!
Not the most aggressive for sure, but still good for FG and in general you wouldn't expect to get a bladed stud on a full heritage style leather boot imo
With regards to the Alpha being plastic, so are most FG stud patterns, almost all of them in fact.
These are incredibly cheap to buy from the US, UK, etc. thanks to the weak Yen.
Hell yeah! High quality boots at amazing prices, what more could you want!!
-10/10 not enough use of the word orgasm.
I thought it was climax? -10/10 for comments for not knowing the correct word 😂😂😂😘
@@BootWizard “SEE I WAS THE FOOL WHO WAS CHECKING THE FOOL, FOR IF THEY WOULD CHECK THE FOOL, FOR IF THEY DIDN'T THEY WOULD BE A FOOL!” you passed with flying colors😂
@@andrewpalmer1873 😂😂😂
Nay, vapor 11 miles better.
Did you actually just compare a full k leather boot to a vapor 11? 😂😂
@@BootWizardyour comment about vapor 13
@@iReinforcements oh I see you're saying the 11 is miles better than the 13 😂😂.
That makes way more sense 😂😂
