Why does one eye have a white halo around a light source and the other eye have a rainbow halo around a light source?

I only get halos occasionally. What would cause it intermittently? They are always accompanied by blurry vision. What gives?
i get em ever night. sometimes i get blurry vision but i always get headaches.
I get them occasionally too. I originally had them for like 2 weeks to a month and only in my left eye. They went away for a while. Just last week they came back.

@@mrviper658 I haven’t had them for a while. I started rubbing a drop of cold-pressed Jamaican castor oil on each eyelid at night before bed (TikTok made me do it). And I haven’t had halos in 3 or 4 months.
i spoke with my dr several times explaining that the halo is getting worse. the eye dr jeeps telling me my eyes are clear but yet i noticed the halo's getting worse. should i seek a second opinion??

I also started seeing them after being diagnosed astigmatism, but I do not have any headaches, it is just it is. Also I see it with prescription glasses too
