    I would use a smaller cook kit and use my raincoat as one of the layers. But I think you are set for a great trip. Remember to put the TP, first aid, and raincoat at the top of the bag and have fun!

      This is a great suggestion. Our rain gear was packed into one of those compression bags. When I go backpacking I opt for a smaller stove (MSR pocket rocket). I brought the reactor because I had the luxury of space on this trip! Thanks for the feedback!

      I keep my rain gear near the top of my pack as well. Good suggestion silver.

    Great video! what is the weight of that load? I believe mine is 90L Seal Line, Eureka needs to be contacted to ship to US so i made it easy by buying one here but I wanted one of these! will definitely get that one if a day come to do one with another person!

      I'd say around 40lbs pr so loaded up. We had to order ours from Canada and it was a pain to get it here but worth it.

      @@LoneCrowAdventures That is great weight for 2 people with everything you got there, in my trips I carry over 30 pounds that is because I am a junkie and bring lot of just in case items I end up not needing but that would be a load for 2 as well in my case, most my hear is lightweight so I can afford to bring more stuff instead of less

    The gear reviews are welcome. Hoping you will soon post some "Adventures" using the gear in Voyageurs, the BWCAW and other locations relevant to those of us who do not live a stones throw from the Boreal Forests of Canada.

    I have a very similar pack to yours, a 115 L Seattle Sports. Also have the 70L version from SeaLine as well as a pair of 110 L Hooligan Gear Portage packs.
    Just browsed your channel a bit and will be watching a few more, starting with the one on the 40 year old Coleman lantern. I have several old Coleman stoves and lanterns, some over 50 years old I've found for next to nothing.

    I would probably put the underlayers and lose garments in another compression sack. Other than that looks good,

    How to carry your water bottle and snacks etc? Extra bag for portage? Strap to canoe pack?

    • @LoneCrowAdventures
      @LoneCrowAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a lifestyle bottle that has a carabiner which I clip either to the pack or let hang out on the bottom of the canoe. I usually stuff snacks into the pockets of my life jacket for quick access while paddling.

    Great video and review of the Eureka canoe bag. Can you also tell me if you are able to portage with the bag filled as in your video or would it be too heavy for you (or myself, about same size as you) Thanks!!

    • @LoneCrowAdventures
      @LoneCrowAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's pretty heavy but doable for sure.

    • @LoneCrowAdventures
      @LoneCrowAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I had to purchase it over again I'd probably opt for the 75L rather than the 110L. It would be a more manageable size for portaging.

      I had this one imported from Thunder Bay Canada. NRS and Sea to Summit make great bags here in the USA as well.

    • @LoneCrowAdventures
      @LoneCrowAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought this bag from a website based in Thunder Bay Canada. I had to pay some shipping costs but with the exchange rate it was similar to US based prices on other top brands. I'm originally from Canada and have a special love for Eureka products. Here is the link if you're interested. This bad is only available in Canada at this time. www.gear-up.com/search
