Big mistake beginners often make is getting a short board way too soon. I’d recommend getting a mid length and riding that for awhile until you feel really good on it. Your surfing improves a ton when you’re on the right board, cheers!
i've replied to a few comments like this and had ridden a 7'0 for a couple years at bondi, although i was too young to really improve and didn't understand surfing... i really just dont like the heaviness and difficulty to turn on longer boards therefore am improving on a higher volume shortboard. i have always been good with balance and sports and honestly feel like im getting ALOT better each surf, with enough patience ill be good. + i'm not terrible and can stand up and pump etc. (this video sucked because of bad conditions) check out another and lmk! thanks though :)
Hey nice video, but I’m going to give you an advice that my coach taught me, never put the leash like that that position in the fins can ruin the leash.

i wont next time i'm out thank you man!
Cool you are learning. More time in water equals more skill on the board. Keep it up. 😊
Yeah man, always good to just be out there. Practice duck dives, etc.
