My pleasure - I hope others are so inclined as well! You are a credit to the profession. P.S. Your Rhino photo places you as the greatest living photographer, in my humble opinion!@@AskMOTT

Justin - spot on content for a street/documentary photographer that is always shooting quickly.
As a New Yorker I appreciate how you get 30 mins of content into 14 minutes… well done.
    Take care.

Street photography has taught me to work quickly, so quickly it shocks me sometimes!
While I watch other photographers with their cameras hanging around their necks or shoulders, my finger is constantly on the trigger, waiting for the next moment!
It’s paid off and some of the best shots I’ve got in a lifetime!

Love to hear it Simin, that’s one of the reasons I tell people not to carry so much heat with them when they shoot , mentally weighs you down as well.

A lot of these photographers like to carry bags of lenses? I found out a long time ago when hiking, that the bag was so heavy with lenses. I never stopped to take any pictures. 🤣

Perfect, err, timing for me to see this! I've recently been on a personal "how long does this take?" binge -- how long to set up the studio from empty, how long to handle this paperwork, how long to review, how long to ... having that level of prepped timing means not *feeling* rushed on everything else, even when actually rushing. Frees up your head. Like you say: preparation. Works with anything, really.

I’ve applied this model to my TH-cam channel w my camera and mic already hooked up and clamped to my desk so when I’m ready to roll and I can, well, roll. Thanks for watching Kevin.

Great Video Justin :) Yes preparing is KEY … I’d like to slow down on commercial gigs, but they are always faced paced… Mistakes I’ve made in the past when working quickly is not paying attention to my shutter and getting a few too many blurry images - Then I tell myself to slowdown and pay attention again :)

When I'm traveling, it's often with family and/or friends. I'm typically carrying a drone, mirrorless w/ 24-105, 16-35mm lenses and a DJI Pocket 2. Skip breakfast, go out early mostly to fly as the drone generally gives me the best video footage, photos, covers a lot of territory with less driving/walking/biking and allows me to scout prominent features in the locale. Ground based photo and video can be accomplished when I'm with my companions, but they often end up in a cafe while I'm exploring. We regroup periodically and they get the benefit of seeing all the stuff they missed while enjoying the destination to their own style and pace.

My problem is I shoot hurried, not fast. Even when I try to be prepared for street (zone focus etc) I’m too worried about people’s reactions and want to get it done and move on. Confidence is probably the issue I need to work on.

That is something that takes a lot of time and commitment to work on Ian. I was the same and still can be at times if I’m not on an assignment and it’s not something I have to get for work.

I think the key for a pro or amateur is to prepare before you go out as much as you can. And when you are at the site take a couple of moments to evaluate the scene and do any final adjustments, etc. before you need to shoot. You are organized and ready to shoot when the time comes and not trying figure out what you need to do at the last moment.

Just curious, why are your recent videos so dark? I have to boost the brightness on my MacBook to full to get a good view of your sample photos. I thought it was just my MacBook, but then I tested on other TH-cam videos and then I had to turn my brightness back down. Just asking out of curiosity. If that's your style, then no worries. Power to ya!

it’s his grade. desaturated and way underexposed. maybe he likes it like that but from previous comments most people don’t like it.

Power back you and thanks for the feedback. I suppose this is a case of I had an energy spree for ideas and episodes that’s been bottled up while my apartment was under renovation but I haven’t had an energy spree for learning color correction on Davinci yet so I’m sorting through that . I do like a slightly desaturated look but I don’t have it where I wanted it yet and will fix it later this month . Thanks for the feedback brother :).

@@AskMOTT I’m a davinci guy too and i must say when you’re used to editing photos on LR, trying to get a similar look on your videos in davinci can be a challenge. No worries bro we’ll still be watching. Love your content 🙏🏻

@@xhynetuseinovski I was trying out CapCut specifically because the color adjustments were similar to Lightroom ha ha. I think I'm going to stop shooting log for a bit and go back to a more baked in color profile in camera so it's easier to grade because for TH-cam videos and doing as much content as I do the grading part isn't fun for me.
