I actually appreciate how Lay at the end reiterates that "SM did that". We all know SM is not the perfect company but I'm hopeful that SM and EXO has a good enough relationship that they would do something out of the norm just for us fans. Thank you EXO, and SM.

Lay being the one chinese member thats like “nah no matter how much sm does I AM STILL HERE BITCH I AM THE 9TH MEMBER U CANT FIGHT THE FEELING” like seriously he has held his ground on this and despite being seperated he still considers himself a member of exo…. Pure fucking dedication to the group members and the fans. What a guy.
@@SwarajBawankar So basically SM is horrible in general, and originally the 3 chinese members that left kind of left because they were either being mistreated or being kind of sidelined. I know Tao's was the hardest because he really did not want to leave and his dad convinced him to for his own health. They were making him train and practice while sick/injured and his family was having none of it. I think for Kris & Luhan it was more of just being generally mistreated by SM. They all ended up being somewhat successful solo artists in china anyway. Funny enough i'd say Lay is probably the most successful but he also was kinda popular BEFORE EXO if i remember correctly. But then Luhan was also in a movie with Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal so who really is the most successful who knows lol. As for Lay, I think he was definitely mistreated but didn't want to leave, he has never wanted to leave. I'm pretty sure he has no actual contract with SM at this point, but I could be wrong. They did let him come back for Don't Fight The Feeling, but that was a green screen. He didn't physically come back to Korea. He originally kinda left because of this whole issue between China and Korea back a few years ago called THAAD which really screwed over a lot of chinese kpop idols anyway. Since then he's more been promoting his solo career and doing well and every now and then popping in to visit EXO members. I mean just recently he came to promote his solo in Korea and did a music stage and it was his first music show in Korea in YEARSSSS. And then he hung out with his besties. And he continues to refer to himself as "Exo's Lay" sometimes. I'd say the only way he would no longer be a part of EXO even in our hearts is if SM kicked him out and banned him from singing with them or some shit but bc he didn't do anything wrong, I doubt they would. My theory is that he is back rn hanging out with the EXO members to help exo cbx in their legal matters against SM
