Today for my birthday, my wife set up a tent and electric s'mores cooker in the living room, and cooked some hot dogs with a little campfire shaped light while this was playing over our speaker all night, because our jobs dont allow us to go camping. Love her.
This is what a human being should hear every night. Not being annoyed by artificial light, noise from cars and city, and the sound of a stressful life... I miss my hometown, my childhood, my mountains...
This makes me homesick. My childhood home is gone. I remember the late nights sitting in my backyard with a nice fire going just listening to the woods. Nothing better than some peace and solitude to collect your thoughts. It sounded just like this, I miss it a lot. Id give anything to turn the years back.
DreddTheLaw2000 I’m sorry you lost your childhood home. Crazy how fast the time goes by. Nostalgia can be heartbreaking, but you’ll always have the memories.
Fire pits are just not the same thing....I like the nostalgia of the campfire (a safe one) much better....Old school I guess...For me fire pits are the pits...but on the other hand, with how careless people are sometimes when building and putting out actual campfires, maybe they aren't such a bad thing after all.....Potato/Patata...LOL!
I also miss when I used to always go camping as a child next to this river. I could hear the frogs, crickets and birds down by the river and the subtle crackling of the campfire. I just want to say your childhood home may be gone, but you can make something new out of what you have now. Perhaps you can go camping with your family or friends and get to experience this again.
I have been listening to this recording to help me fall asleep ever since I was 16 and quite sad and lonely. I’m a senior in college now and almost 23… I still fall asleep to this music when I need some help relaxing and finding peace. It reminds me of all the nights that led to a better day. Sleep well everyone 🫶
I had some bad emotions when I came to this video and to be honest, it took that right away. Things will be okay. My problems are minuscule always. There could be worse problems. Your family could all die, you could be crippled for life, you could be dead. It’s the level of problem that we accept and become complacent with that seems to irritate us, before we may lose ourselves.
Stay strong. The right people will meet you and know your worth. We are here for you if you ever need us. We might not reply right away, but we are here, in the nights with you. Good night and God bless
"I am not your autumn moon, I am the night" -Chris Cornell As I listen to these sounds I can hear this song paying in the background. Sitting around the campfire in the fall of 2002 listening to Audioslave with my best friend on a hunting trip. He would pass early 2003, far too young. I miss him dearly. He was a brother not just a friend. This video takes me back to those times, we can't get them back, but being able to take yourself back in time through memories is an amazing thing. To whomever recorded these sounds and curated this video, I am forever grateful. You took me back to spend just a few more minutes with a long lost friend. Thank you so much! 🥺🙏☺
I know how you feel friend. I lost both my best friends by age 26, and the void they left is unfillable. its been almost 20 years since Ashley died, and 24 years since Anthony died, but the hole they left behind is stil as wide as ever. My only relief is my faith, and my certainty to reunite in the afterlife, but we don't all share those beliefs. I hope you're healing brother
Ah, the good old days of having campfires with my dad, the camping trips we'd go on. The boat rides. Nights spent at his sisters cabin. The concerts at the old barn, where a fire could be lit in the pit and still feel the music ring inside us. The countryside I had grown up in, surrounded by cornfields and cows. I miss that. My parents have since divorced, and live with my mom with work having be closer. Yet miss those times with my old man. Hope y'all are having a day if you read this. Make sure to cherish the good memories, no matter what they are.
I fall asleep to this because it was the first thing I remember after almost losing my life. It reminds me everything’s ok you still have a reason to be on this earth.
I wish I was outside my old house right now. I grew up right on the lake in a small city called Prior Lake. Now, we live in Chaska. We have better everything now, but we had a rusty, semi-portable fire pit, which is where we would always have our bonfires. We would put it on a small hill that overlooked the lake. The water as still as glass, and the empty, star filled night sky, coupled with the smell of the smoke, made me feel as if I were in a dream. A dream where there was no electricity, not because of a disaster, but we were just not as advanced as that. A world where everyone joked with everyone about everything because we knew them all as close friends. The smell of the smoke combined with the rust impaled in the fire pit on clear nights is my fondest memory of the “good old times.” Just because you cannot live in the past does not mean you cannot remember and reflect on them.
this is great cause it sounds exactly like a summer night here in Kentucky. the fire, crickets, just everything. I love it so much. Kentucky is truly beautiful
I have searched high and low for a recording of katydids like this. To me this is one of the most relaxing sounds on earth. Brings back so many childhood memories! Thank you so much for posting this. It brings the outdoor experience into my home. I hope you have similar videos in the future!
I love these kinds of things. Sometimes my depression and anxiety make it hard to sleep. Lots of dark thoughts coming through ya know? And my earplugs make to where its nearly dead silent and the silence fuels the thoughts and I just cant make them go away. But with these kinds of videos I have something I can focus on and it can help me steer away from such thoughts.
It really helps my anger issues and depression helps give peace and relaxation for myself being in Hawaii sitting on the beach by the campfire watching the stars is the best experience ever🤙🤙
Arya Veil yes these videos are great to relax. Try practicing to just observe those thoughts with no judgement or feelings. Just relax and as they come into your mind observe them until they are gone. It will take a good amount of practice but then habit takes over and you’ll find much easier to not worry so much. We’ve all been to this bad situation before.
I've been listening to this for almost two years now. I'm thankful for this video which helps with my Nyctophobia. A relaxing sound which I can play for a few hours, keeping my phone on to keep a bit of light in my room❤️
This one is my favorite of all. The sounds are somewhat distant, which gives it a more natural feel. Some of them, usually running water, sounds like they're right up in your face. Love, love, LOVE this one! It's perfect.
At my parents' home out in the country, we had a homemade firepit. Made out of big rocks we found at the creek. We gathered only wood that had fallen naturally...never cut any or bought any. We had a portable soft three seat swing and it sat next to the fire. Many times I gathered up my pillows and quilt and slept in the swing all night next to a fire just like this one. My cat would climb on top of me and sleep on my side...she'd be there in the morning when I woke up. I don't think either one of us moved or changed positions all night. Her name was Puddin' and she was old and blind in one eye. I miss her so much. This brings back such good memories. We fell asleep to natures music just like these sounds. BEST sleep I've ever had! Thank you for the video! 🦉🐸🦗🤟❤

What a brilliant idea! So very soothing and a great way to unwind after a long day. My mom is battling brain cancer and it's been so stressful on the entire family. Usually, my mind is racing with the uncertainties of this evil disease and I struggle with insomnia. Thankfully, there's these awesome nature sounds as well as healing essential oils that do work wonders for me.
Omg this is exactly how it used to sound when I stayed at my great grandparents house when I was a kid. Thank you for this. I used to love to sleep at their house. It was way back in the woods on the lake in Tennessee. You couldn't get to their house unless you had a 4 wheel drive. God I miss that place.
This is pure relaxation takes me back to when my parents would take me camping in really rural campgrounds this is the sound I enjoy and could fall right asleep

To whomever made this video.. Thank You... I remember sitting near a fire in the cold night of December 2019 with the boys and some girls smoking a cig and listenin to some Joji.. But because of this pandemic, we all recently split and lost contact with each other.. So I looked up this video, grabbed a pack of cigs, put on some Joji and sat here for abt 20 mins remembering the good times we had. Again, to whomever uploaded this, I am above grateful..

They lived in a village in nes ziona after coming here, they had goats cows chickens and some crops. We still own the home they lived in and i love coming there.

Reminds me of nights around the campfire with my parents, my siblings, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, and everyone else in my family when we go on camping trips together. Good night from Colorado 💜💜💜
between the planes flying, the neighbour with his bobcat beeping and all the children playing I have had a very hard time relaxing lately, this helps very much :D
Oh man, homemade forts, blankets over chair backs in the living room for us......Mom put different types of snacks at each "compartment".....so many great memories both indoors and outdoors! 😎
Back when I was a 7-10 years old, my father would take me and my two brothers out for camping. It's those great fun memories that I reminisce in hard times.
This is the only nighttime sounds that sound EXACTLY like summer nights back home. The owls, birds, crickets, cicadas, etc. It's amazing. ♡ The only sound that's slightly off is the owl - if it was a Great Horned Owl instead it would sound EXACT... but even ours that have been around for years have a slightly different call compared to typical ones... And that's why I say this video is perfect because each call is unique in its own way! (And if it sounded like the same owl(s), I'd suspect you to be a neighbor!) Anyway, I'm rambling because I'm tired, and hence the reason I'm hear time and time again. Thank you so much! ♡
Sounds like a Pennsylvania night in the country. Love it. ❤ I can listen to this IRL certain times of the year, for the off seasons I come here. Thanks.
Hearing the crickets on the background brings back ALL the memories of hearing them as they set up a nightimt "vibration" through the forest that was around me the first 12 years of my life back in the 1950's in southern Ohio! (This is a time machine for me In front of my faux fireplace right now in southern California...my my!👍😀🇺🇸)
This reminds me of having to wake up at dawn to visit my grandparents house up in the woods. Then just sitting there alone near the campfire. I love this
This takes me back to summer 2008 when I was 11 years old. I went to a camp for the blind in Malibu California. we would have campfires after dinner where we had open mic night and made s’mores with hot chocolate while sitting around the fire and conversing with one another. My favorite movie Camp rock also came out that summer. that was the time when I was the happiest, and I will cherish that summer forever.
I placed my small portable speaker inside my portable fireplace and turned this sound on its amazing looking at the lit up logs and moving flames makes it seem real love it
I can’t get enough of these relaxing sounds 🌊🎶 They are perfect for everything-from studying to meditation or even just taking a break. A true gem for anyone seeking peace 🌿✨
One of my favorite parts of summer is sitting around the campfire, getting mesmerized by the flames of the fire, listening to it crackle, and hearing all the night creatures. I truly love living in the middle of nowhere 🫶🏻

With a joint just to add to it. Looking into the stars...

Reminds me of nights around the campfire with my parents, my siblings, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, and everyone else in my family when we go on camping trips together. Good night from Colorado 💜💜💜

The sound of fire is so relaxing, good night
between the planes flying, the neighbour with his bobcat beeping and all the children playing I have had a very hard time relaxing lately, this helps very much :D
I'm really pleased it worked for you!
Brings me to the nights where time went slow at a camp fire looking in to the stars💙💤💤💤
We’re camping under a homemade fort in the game room tonight-this is great! TY!!
Oh man, homemade forts, blankets over chair backs in the living room for us......Mom put different types of snacks at each "compartment".....so many great memories both indoors and outdoors! 😎
I've been holding this marshmallow over this iPad for five minutes now, nothing. sigh
Lol
so funny
Go to the stove.
Try cranking up the volume
Or use samsung
I think of Tennessee where I grew up, I remember sitting in my grandmother's porch swing and listening to the night in mid summer.
Every once in a while you can hear what sounds like another person shifting and somehow that makes it even comfier. 😊
The only sound that's slightly off is the owl - if it was a Great Horned Owl instead it would sound EXACT... but even ours that have been around for years have a slightly different call compared to typical ones...
And that's why I say this video is perfect because each call is unique in its own way! (And if it sounded like the same owl(s), I'd suspect you to be a neighbor!)
Anyway, I'm rambling because I'm tired, and hence the reason I'm hear time and time again. Thank you so much! ♡
Sounds like a Pennsylvania night in the country. Love it. ❤ I can listen to this IRL certain times of the year, for the off seasons I come here. Thanks.
I'm afraid of the dark (a serious phobia) so I keep my phone on and have this playing every night so I can sleep. Been doing this for years! 💖
Nightlights
There's nothing in the dark that isn't in the light ❤

Hearing the crickets on the background brings back ALL the memories of hearing them as they set up a nightimt "vibration" through the forest that was around me the first 12 years of my life back in the 1950's in southern Ohio!
(This is a time machine for me
In front of my faux fireplace right now in southern California...my my!👍😀🇺🇸)

Being a southern country girl, I love to sleep with the windows open but it's too hot and humid right now. I found this last night and ahhh...heaven!
This reminds me of having to wake up at dawn to visit my grandparents house up in the woods. Then just sitting there alone near the campfire. I love this
I'm really pleased it worked for you!
I've been itching to go camping for months! This is so good it actually helps me scratch that itch.. Bravo! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Glad it was helpful! 👍
This makes me miss summer so much.
Beautiful Sound💖 so soothing
Thanks for your sharing 🎶 Nice video 👍👍
I always come back to this one !

chilly sauce haha 😆 what a great idea
I love the night sky with the little moon and the trees
Nothing...and I mean nothing puts me to sleep like a crackling fire and Owls. This is wonderful.💕🤗
I can’t get enough of these relaxing sounds 🌊🎶 They are perfect for everything-from studying to meditation or even just taking a break. A true gem for anyone seeking peace 🌿✨
I listen to this when I study my Bible.✝️ Really helps me dig deep in The Word. ☺️
One of my favorite parts of summer is sitting around the campfire, getting mesmerized by the flames of the fire, listening to it crackle, and hearing all the night creatures. I truly love living in the middle of nowhere 🫶🏻
I think the reason its so calming is because of how peaceful it is no cars, sirens, lights just a good ol campfire. 🔥 👌
As soon as this video started and I heard the katydids chirping, I started smiling and thought, "Aaaaaaw, listen to the katydids...." Excellent video.
almost as nice as the real thing. I've fallen asleep many times to fires just like this

Matthew noack I love to turn on my heating blanket and turn on a small nightlight.....feels like I'm actually by a fire! 😁😁😁😁🔥🔥🔥

Enjoying a nice warm cup of coffee at night on a cold winter night while watching this
Perfect for “Stay at Home” camping 🌛🦉
Totally! ;)
AMAZING!!! I use this every night and I sleep amazing I hope this helps other peaple sleep to I love the animal noises in the background
