Tool's the band. It's Maynard singing, Adam on lead guitar, Danny drumming, and Justin on bass. They're awesome Bro! If you do more Tool reactions I'll definitely keep watching. React to Descending if you want a banger. Thx!
Tool is one of the greatest bands of all time. No one else is like them. Legitimately. They’ve been in my top 3 since the early 90s. (Jinjer is in my top 3 too) I really hope you check out more!! Some advice, don’t do the MVs, do lyric videos, and just let Tool wash over you. They’re an experience 🖤 Maybe try Laturalus or Schism? Or anything really. It’s all good lol
@@NickellaElla They’re in my top 10! This all rotates over the years lol Tool The Weeknd Jinjer Rage NIN Tech N9ne Acid Bath Slipknot SoaD If I had to make a list. And everything after Jinjer is in no particular order lol
Nice! I hadn’t heard of anyone else with the 90’s phenoms and randomly Jinjer in their very top tier😂 Looking at your list, I’m guessing you’ll agree that Straight Out the Gate from Tech and Serj is one of the best songs ever!
Acid Bath! Nice! I'm going to see two bands cover both albums with Sammy and Jimmy making a guest appearance to play on some of the songs in a couple weeks.
Haha Tool is the band, and the singer is Maynard James Keenan. They’re a whole different vibe and think you’ll be presently surprised if you check out more. If you do I’d recommend 46&2, Vicarious, and the Grudge (for more rockin songs like this one) Or Lateralus, Parabol/Parabola (2 songs), and Pneuma (for deep, spiritual, and rockin) Official audio with headphones is perfect. Their videos are amazing (but super weird and often get blocked) Cool reaction!
At 7:08 He had that moment where he was knew he needed to get those headphones on so he could get locked in. At 7:19 his eyebrow popped up because the music drew him in. And at 7:23 his eyes closed because Tool is a mf'ing ride. It's just awesome watching Tool fans be born.
The singer is Maynard James Keenan. The guitarist is Adam Jones, drummer is Danny Carey, and bassist is Justin Chancellor who replaced the original bassist Paul D'Amour in 1995. They are all extremely talented and intelligent musicians. TOOL is a one of a kind band, the journey they'll take you on if you continue listening to them is an experience.
There really is no other band like Tool. Each member is a master of his craft and the way they highlight each instrument while all forming a completely unique and amazing sound is unmatched. Every lyric has so many meanings and is so well thought through that I can't believe that they can every finish a single song. Every song is a journey that I love taking. I wish I could discover them all over again!
Tool is a whole vibe experience unique and unmatched. For me they are to metal/rock what Chris Stapleton is to country. Both creates their own atmosphere while blessing your ears. Keep it going.
Tool is the band. Maynard is sanging. He's a beast. So is everyone else in the band. The song is about hypocrisy (pot and kettle, i'm sure you've heard the saying').
First time you listen to any Tool song, sit back and relax and let it take you for a ride. It won’t follow any of your expectations so don’t bother anticipating where it’s gonna go. Just enjoy the journey. Second time you listen to a Tool song, pay attention to the lyrics. The vocals are not always front and center bc this band approaches the vocal performance within the whole of the music and not on top of it. But Maynard’s lyricism is a work of art itself and merits it’s own focus. Third time you listen to a Tool song you will hear nuances and complexities you missed before bc now you know what to expect as a whole and can focus on the details. And the genius of Tool is in the details! The fourth time you listen to a Tool song you’ll have the same experience as the third time in that you’ll hear something new and exciting that you didn’t quite catch completely the time before. And so it keeps going…. I’m hearing this song ‘The Pot’ with you for the 5000th time and I’m still catching new things! After more than a decade of listening to this song it’s still a vibe!!!
This is incredibly well said! Mark of something really great is that you find something new everytime you experience it. I think anyways. This band is so cool.
I love seeing someone's first reaction to tool. The thing that separates them from other bands is most often the first banger you hear will be your only time having that vibe with a band. With Tool they're so versatile in sound but also very distinctly unique that you'll feel that way again, in a different way, with the same band. Check out The Grudge, Aenima, sober. There's too many to list. Enjoy this rabbit hole brother. Oh and enjoy all the new subs. Tool fans show out
tool is the goat. no other "rock" music in the last 40 years can hold a candle to their flame. thumbs up... I'll sub next time if you leave your headphones on.
Singer is Maynard James Keenan. Danny Carey on drums. Justin Chancellor on bass. Adam Smith on guitar. 4 men who are at the top of the elite in their craft who all happen to be in same band. This is Tool. Welcome to the army, brother!
tool is all about the vibe. They are really one of a kind which puts them in progressive metal. For some other progressive metal check out. Opeth - Blackwater Park Gojira - Flying Whales
I'm right there with you Carrie Huffman. Maynard James Keenan is the vocalist and is definitely slept on by the industry because he's too technically ahead of what's been played on the radio over the last 30 years. He's a national treasure and if he's impressed with this, wait until he hears that 25 second sustained scream in "The Grudge"! If you know the song, you know what I'm talking about. Even professional vocal coaches and singers scratch there heads and say "WTF/How?!" to what he has been able to do since the 90's.
Yes! This was the first band I ever bought an album from. It was the Undertow album and I fell in love with them. Now 45 and I’m still loving them. All their music is epic
Tool is classified as Progressive Metal but there is no other musical act that comes close to what these 4 men can produce. It's not music, it's an experience. Keep spiraling...

TOOL, in my opinion is one of the Best Fuckin Prog, Rock bands in the Milky Way Galaxy! Danny Carey aka the Octopus one of the best drummers in the World, Adam Jones , artist , amazing guitarist, Justin Chancellor , (top 10in the World), Bass player.. Than you have , Black belt jujitsu , in three bands, makes wine, owns a winery writes the lyrics (most poetic and talented intelligent ) Maynard James Kennan .. I’ve seen them 13 times , they have been around since 1991… All of there albums are masterpieces in there own right . Love your reaction dude
Welcome to the Tool army. Some words of advice… each song is a journey, it may sound like chaos, but trust me it is very intentional and controlled chaos. The singer is Maynard James Keenan. He has 3 bands, equally as abstract. Good reaction
Welcome to the Tool fam! Keep going on your journey, spiral out! Maynard James Keenan is the lead singer, Danny Carey is the drummer an absolute G.O.A.T, Justin Chancellor is the bassist, Adam Jones on lead guitar. Two other bands that are a must react, are also fronted by Maynard James Keenan, "Puscifer" and "A Perfect Circle." The drum cam for Danny Carey in the song "Pneuma" will blow your mind!

It's a vibe alright - used to pump myself up in the morning with Tool and Jack Daniels before hitting the slopes in the morning - with some of the Pot of course!
I did the same as you but reversed, I mean a listened to a little rap when I was young, like some Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Kool Moe Dee, and stuff like that, but I pretty much veered off to Punk Rock, then metal and hard rock, a little country too. Then in 2020 I found my self semi-retired and locked downs going on, so I started checking out new music collections and youtube reactors like yourself. Welcome to the Rabbit Hole of Tool. You will never go back. Baddest dudes around when you look at their whole body of work.
no they aren't talking about pot. they're talking about hypocrisy... the POT calling the kettle black. its a very old phrase.
Hell yeah dude, gotta do some more TOOL reactions... Tool - The Grudge is a good one... And you should dig into the lyrics more
Yo i recommend checking out their songs sober, 46 & 2 , and schism.
Glad you enjoy the track, man. The song is about hypocrisy of people in power - politicians and such - who try to come down and/or prosecute people for drugs/pot but engage in them or in other shady dealings themselves. So it's LITERALLY about pot but also a double entendre as a metaphor for the pot calling the kettle black adage.
Just brilliant all around. Tool is the hugest rabbit hole but the music is worth it!
Welcome to the Tool addiction!
