Turist Ömer is a Turkish comedy franchise. This isn't a Star Trek film. Its a Turist Ömer film set in the Trek Universe. It's actualy a comedy. Everyone around plays it seriously like a Star Trek episode but Ömer plays it with comedy. It's actually really well done, the writing is well done, the set design is well done and it pays homage to Trek and doesn't deviate from Trek Lore. You can watch the full film on TH-cam.
turist ömer uzay yolunda is in fact not a star trek movie, but a turist ömer movie set in the star trek universe. it is partly a parody and a sequel to turist ömer's eccentric journeys. this is a classic movie for us and i still watch it. it's some kind of turkish humor and translation would not help for a foreigner. i saw serious analysises and essays on the net done by american people and they mostly say that it's a shit movie. this is not even a serious movie, it's a comedy. it's a turist ömer movie set in star trek universe. turist ömer comes and destroys enterprise, breaking everything logical and serious. turist ömer leaves enterprise and the crew now is familiar with him.

@@jeanleconquerant4594 eh just a crapy turkish drama about a turkish sultan and his harem or smtg like that, mostly famous in the Arab world, and bit in the blkans
We are talking about a time here when Turkey was a closed economy and most homes didn’t have a tv set, even when they were among the privileged to own such the broadcast was limited to few hours and black and white only. Cinema was the most common entertainment with open air screens and wooden chairs at small towns. The producers used to amuse themselves with all sorts of none sense as they were filming a whole movie within a week or two. I remember a historical film where the Byzantion princess’s name was Amorphia and the Minister of the emperor was called Isobar.
Sadri Alışık (Turist Ömer) started his career as a romantic male star. He was quite handsome too. Than came these movies, I think he enjoyed all that. With self made phrases that could only come from a heavily juiced mind we once saw him in midst of a bullfight in Spain or in African jungle(shot with black people in Istanbul) praying to the chief that his meat was to tough to make a stew. He was a heavy drinker, even a liver transplant did him almost no good. May he rest in peace.
I'm impressed! The more I see and hear about the old days of Turkish film making the more of an affinity I feel for the producers, very cowboy and innovative, you gotta admire them!
Wow ur welcome to explore turkish humour it s hilarious i watvhed them all as a kid so grew up with those movies. Trashy, dramatic, hilarious and funny
For turks, this is a major cross-over ! Not only a highly popular american show, but also one of the most iconic turkish film-characters ever. My uncle had like the whole Turist Ömer set on VHS. (Turist Ömer Recently appeared as a homage/cameo in Cem Yilmaz "Arif V. 216" which is the third movie of the GORA Trilogy after GORA and AROG.)
So glad to find this video again. When you first posted it I actually was inspired to rewrite a term paper about the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural adaptation the night before it was do. Got me an A too

Adınız: Mr Spock Soyadınız: Kepçe kulak Mesleğiniz: Kız tavlamak Yemeğiniz: Ispanak Sonra hep beraber; kimi heceleri vurgulayarak ve tekerlemenin kendi abidik gubidik melodisi eşliğinde "hey, mis. tır. sıpak kep.cee.kulak... kız. tav. lamak... ıs. paa. nak. hey" şeklinde söyleniyor
I have never specifically found and watched this movie. But I've come across this movie on tv a few times. I watch from the part I come across to the end. It has an interesting vibe.
Very interesting, thank you. At this point, I think the list of Western shows/films not made later in Turkish would be an easier and shorter list to go through.
Yok lan cidden güzel bu film :D Prodüksiyonu tırt tabii ama senaryosu bir parodi film için gayet iyi. Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam'ın aksine, bununla övünebiliriz :D
Yes,Turks would even be proud of starting the third world war. This "movie" is a no go and it shows pefectly what crap Turks are producing (in every thinkable way) and they are still proud of everything and want to get admired. Hilarious.
Wish you could understand Turist Ömer's humors( RIP Sadri Alışık ) within the context of Turkish Language. His sincere acting cannot be compared to any comedian on his era. Moreover, if you want to know him, I recommend you to watch his other movies. Also this "Turist Ömer Uzay Yolunda" movie is his last filmed movie.
The legendary character of the late Sadri Alışık, Tourist Ömer, was known for his side of not taking life seriously and his quick wit. He is the most absurd type of Yeşilçam cinema. Sadri Alışık is a cinema artist who is a master in painting, music, poetry and all of the visual arts, taking life to the extreme, Tourist Ömer. Apart from this, Tourist Ömer has other adventures. Last note, Tourist Ömer's hat is a very old hat bought from a shoe shiner for 2.5 liras.
I'm glad that these absurd Turkish movies are catching the eyes of foreigners. That way young Turkish generation gets to know these forgotten movies as well. I like your observations about Ömer but he didn't make a rip-off movie here. This was a parody movie. You can think of it as Jean Dujardin's "OSS-117" Plus Ömer being from the slums he uses a different jargon that doesn't make much sense when translated in English. Also another fun fact, this was made before any Star Trek movie 😀
Do not compare with original star trek this was a real Turkish comedy film to understand the humor have to understand Turkish language and culture as well as a Türk.
There are three ways this movie is better than The Motion Picture: 1. It looks more like the TV show 2. The action moves at a faster pace 3. Stephen Collins is not in it

Turist ömer derler adına adına 😂
Yes but.. this Omer guy is a troll kinda character and he is actually very funny. This is not a "dunyayi kurtaran adam" like case..
Yeah. These movie actually a parody/comedy movie like ZAZ or Mel Brooks films.
Those Turks made a damn good Trek film. Bravo.

Parody or not, I am happy that Turkey was a fan of Star Trek !!! Awesome!!
Gotta be honest: of all the turkish mockbusters from the 70s/80s I watched, this was the only one I genuinely enjoyed watching.
This was released in 1973, which makes it the first feature film to take place in the Star Trek universe, and feature the original series' characters.
this is parody dude realistic parody :D
Today it has become my only mission to get this remastered, translated, and on Bluray.

Priceless and also a classic i would define this..
And btw this Ömer character is like our version of abbot and costello.
I remember seeing this as a kid and loving it. I was a big Turist Omer fan haha, Star Trek adventure was among my favourites.

Also the ambient sounds of Echoes by Pink Floyd used predominantly in the movie, as a soundtrack.
The opening theme song is the Marketts' "Out of Limits".
