I stayed in Vista Way during my Fall '13 DCP and this video made me miss it so much! I liked in building 16, right across from the clubhouse and pool. It was perfect.
My location was bomb, because we had a pond, were right next to the clubhouse and pool and we weren't too far in, so we didn't have to weave around the roads to get in/out of our apartment!
Can’t wait to be 18 to apply to the International Program😊 The only thing I’m worried about is all the things you have to bring yourself since I’m not from America.
I have a friend who did the international program and he said he just used what most people left over. There are many people selling or giving away things as they leave the program. I’m sure you could do the same!

The clubhouse was the main building in 1991. We got mail from there. The disney vans would drive up to the club house entrance to take us to the parks or resorts to work.

In my apartment complex they provided the apartment, that's it lol! My fiancé and I to purchase EVERYTHING from dishes to furniture! Lots of questions, sorry lol! Do you pay rent/bills for the apartment while enrolled in the DCP or does the DCP take care of that while you're there?

+MF TR I'm not sure what was provided in the other complexes. I mean you can live very minimally if you want, but since I had all this stuff I decided to bring it just in case and ended up needing it.
Most of the things I already had myself. The one thing we bought there was the shelf, which ended up being about $55. If all 6 split it, it would be less than $10 each. My mom also bought us some cookie sheets and an extra spatula, which may have been about an extra $25, which everyone could again split!
wow….times have changed….when i was there (1998), our buses were the red Mears buses,…there were ZERO room inspections. In fact when we got our room, our window screens from our living room were out on the roof and someone's spaghetti had exploded in our microwave. We requested a clean but no one ever came. We were definitely on our own. So had to go out and buy cleaning supplies. There was NO mailing "center" just a wall of mailboxes that was outside. We had no learning center, which made the reports we had to do difficult to type. We'd have to go down to the Mouse Pad (If that's still a thing). The fact that my roommate had a laptop (rare at the time) was a God send!! Yeah,….no coffee or cookies. The security guards could be just as blah. I'd tell them I'm going to Walgreens next door and I'd be right back. Then with arms full of groceries they'd ask for my ID….like ugh,…SERIOUSLY!?!? This is why I told you I was leaving!!
They made us split it in half! If you watch a later vlog we split it in half height-wise and then moved it in front of the kitchen ledge (I hope that makes sense)
How long do you live here? Do you get paid? I have never heard of the Disney College Program. I randomly came across your channel tonight so I don't really know anything. Do you pay rent? If so how much? I will subscribe to your channel to learn more.
+flower rug The college program lasts anywhere from 5-7 months. We get paid about $10 an hour depending on our roles. We do have to pay rent depending on which housing complex we live in and how many girls that live in an apartment. Anywhere from $101-120 a week
+Nataly Almeida We ended up having to split it apart and we rearranged the whole apartment (it's not bad though I love the new arrangement more). The shelf could split in half so we did that then moved it to right in front of the counter on the living room side (if that makes any sense 😅)

They take rent out of each of your weekly checks depending on how much it is. Each place and each size apartment is a different price so its difficult to tell you how much it would take out

+Kimber Fleming yes you're allowed! That's basically the ONLY thing you're allowed to use when it comes to hanging things. I recommend the Velcro ones. They tend to work the best
Most of them are on the left side as you drive through security. The rest are just sporadic. There are two apartments in my building that are renovated, one that they are currently renovating, and the rest aren't. So it's very random.

The weight room is still the weight room. At 4:35 The table and chairs on the round circle is the old hot tub that was filled in.

The commons had a washer and dryer which a lot of people wanted, and I think it’s a bit bigger. I personally preffed the commons first and vista 3rd

Kitchen looks the same. Paid $59.00 a week for a six person apartment in 1991.
Made $5.30 an hour. Minimum wage was $3.15 went up to $3.25.
