I did own this one on NES at one point! wow TIL about the 'moth' thing I honestly had no idea where the name came from outside of being similar to 'Galaxian'! probably my favorite game ever out of namco's early stuff (unless you want to count Ms. Pac-Man) indeed a really spot-on port of the arcade original.
Galaga on Famicom was my best and favorite port from my all-time favorite namco arcade I play it so much included on my first NES and Famicom Console on Plug n Play 76000 in 1 when I was a 4 year old child back since 2005

Too bad Gaplus never got ported, great game in it's own right
At least there are ports of Galaga '88...
Check again, Gaplus was ported to FC/NES in 2020. And it is marvellous.
