    Wood stain reads Baits, which is very close to the Dutch word for wood stain, beits and is pronounced basically the same. Can read Palisander as well and that word is common in Dutch, too.
    As always an informative and entertaining video. Thanks for sharing!

      You are right, it is Baits I Bulgarian... I guess that the word found its way in from German (probably), and palisander is some sort of wood. Cheers!

    I really like that wood stain idea for the sides of the diorama, I want to try that on my next diorama

    Dear Sir
    The first time I've seen your work and I hope not the last. An example of quality and intelegence that is certainly going to help me as one who is returning to the hobby after a long absence. Plese keep the standard of this work coming. It is ironic I was toiling with several questions around a diaroma base board which you have managed to answer in one shot for which I thank you.

    Interesting technique with foil, had never considered doing something like that to give that level of subtle detail. Only other thing I would add is it would have probably been easier to stain the balsa before gluing.

    • @MMScaleModels
      @MMScaleModels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this way may be easier but its not difficult when the wood is attached as well so it works one way or the other :)

    Any chance anyone knows how to make a clear cover for them as well? Just want to be able to minimize dust. Thanks.

    • @MMScaleModels
      @MMScaleModels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard, I know for sure that companies that make signs, billboards etc. can make covers of desired dimensions. Clear plastic and plexiglas are difficult to cut precisely without proper tools.
