This is so encouraging for us, Meg. Sometimes we can be a little shy about showing our art, but hey, we’re all different and there’s no right or wrong really, I firmly believe “creativity takes courage!” Thank you 🙏🏻
I really like the idea of having a journal for backgrounds to look at when inspiration falls. Thankyou so much for sharing Meg, it’s really appreciated x
I use Distress stains, calligraphy ink or colour spray on spreads.Sometimes I use watercolours. I love the dark spodges on effects. I want to add acrylics but the pages can stick together. I know Barbara of 49dragonflies uses piece of candle. I find adding inks or dye helps to overcome the blank page block which always bug me. There are rubber stamps with splatter, spodges and doodle. I find the series helpful so far.
Since this video came out, I've watched it each month as a background inspiration for my monthly daily journals. This is such a great source filled with great ideas! Thank you ^-^ Love your channel
Love your videos!, just found you a few days ago….binge watching now and learning a lot! Feel very inspired!! Just getting started with JJ. Going to try your JJ January, even made a small journal for the challenge yesterday! Thanks for your videos!
I'm not trying to be nasty, but what is the purpose of junk journals? I'm new to journaling and just started in July. I do a little bit of art work like stickers and stencils, but I'm doing more of a bullet journal (guess that's what you call it). I write in it and keep tracks of tasks, appointments, and then just do a little bit of journaling/gratitude page, etc.... I like watching these videos about junk journaling, but am just curious about the purpose? Thanks!

Thank you so much, Meg! This was all really helpful. I especially appreciated seeing the art journal you used for experimenting. That’s a great idea!
Me too! It’s great when we don’t always see perfect images on social media!

This is so clever Meg. You make it look so easy and your background looks fabulous. Thank you, as ever, for showing us how it's done.
