I feel Synecdoche, New York was the most significant and thoughtful film Hoffman was involved with. He literally plays an everyman. More people should watch this at least twice. Its subject matter is occasionally harrowing. It mimics the existential crisis of living as a type of hopeful salvation, and therefore validates its worth.

This is the deepest best movie I’ve ever seen, if there’s a deeper movie than this, it would probably suck because you can’t, there’s a deeply personal film, talking about life in the beauty of making art, while also talking about the morbidity of dying, being gone forever, and never existing once, saddest, funniest, happiest, best movie I’ve ever seen it’s gonna stick with me for my entire life
