I never knew that Chevy made this particular model, so rare is the perfect description! Kudos to the restorer .... He's obviously a master at this trade. The mid-50s were special years, with few true muscle cars being made. A very rare and unique car! This car will no doubt go to a serious collector .... one who will appreciate it for what it is! What a great find!
I remember reading an article in Musclecars magazine in the early 1990s about a '57 150 that was ordered with the lesser-known, hydraulic-cammed 283/250 hp fuelie engine. Wonder how many of THOSE could have been installed across all the model lines? This pristine Chevy proto-muscle machine reminded me of that long-go feature car. Someone bought this car for performance, much like that one.
Thanks Jay, terrific find. What’s interesting is if it was a factory ordered car that the original owner opted for the up charge two-tone. The 150s I see usually are solid color. Also interesting wiper delete, I suppose the government didn’t require wipers, but it has a horn. 🤷♂️ Curious car.
This baby belongs in the movie american grafitti, Harrison ford, drivning this from the batcave 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum 😊 😊 😊 😊
That car has the one piece frame, California frame. There was some famous NASCAR that were black & white nick name black widow. I thank NASCAR banded them from racing. I know the NASCARS had some exhaust manifold that's like a cast iron header that is supper rare and pricing
Very rare car if it came from the factory with a 283" My 56 150 had a six with 3 speed and overdrive..I'm third owner..almost wish I had restored it rather .modifying just about everything tuning it into a street rod..toyed with painting or original olive drab..yep built for Pacific Bell in Northern CA

Unbelievable didn't know they made such a animal but leave it to Jay to find the rarest of the rare great job!!
Wow!!!! What a great find. Love it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Another one of a kind. Amazing.
Thanks Jay, terrific find.

This car has wipers, you can see them at the bottom of the windshield. And there is the wipe motor above the disturber.
BEUTIFULL CARS 🙏👍😍♥️
And what a nice looking 1957 Chevy 150 Utility Sedan it is
Very Nice Car
The 150's were lighter, lacking all the fancy trim, so they put in the biggest engine and raced them.
WOW ! Just WOW !
Incredible 57 💙 😈

Outstanding! But what did he mean by "no wipers" at 0:38? It has windshield wipers.

No Windshield Wipers? That seems unusual. Hope you live in the Desert or drive it on dry days only.
This car has wipers, you can see them parked. Also, the wiper motor is above the distributor.

Wow a lot of money for a non Bel- Air!
That is the point! It is not a BelAir but a one fifty with F/I 283.
