One of my GO TO song's..... It's definitly a Bluegrass song, with it's need, for "High Lonesome" vocal's. Not the best I've heard but I did listen to the end. >>> Try NRPS & Flying Burrito's, thire live version's.
Just for clarification It was originally recorded by Flatt and Scruggs in 1952. I had to look it up but I knew it was a lot older than Dwight. It's charted for several star artists. PS there was no separation in country and bluegrass in 1952. In some places and times it might have been called country/western. Mostly just country.
Thats pretty darn good. I have listened and watched every version of this stone cold honky tonk classic you can find on youtube. I suppose the flatt and scruggs version is my favorite. Although I'm not so sure now. Really good! I will watch many times.
I really love the 2 new band members. And Tim cracks me up... he is so insanely good on that mando. The voice blend is just perfect, too. The new TBB is broadening my musical horizons. I love newgrass but you all just draw me in any time Lincoln posts something no matter how or "high lonesome" the composition is. And of course I can only count on one hand, fiddlers that are the likes of Aynsley... and most of them are twice her age. Rock on, TBB!
A guitar, a mandolin, a fiddle, a banjo, a bass, and people harmonizing to a good old song. I need nothing else
This song is very nice I like it.
From Japan.
I love that! How were you introduced to Americana bluegrass and folk? Is it commonly enjoyed in Japan? God bless you!! ☺️
Sonny Osborne is sure smiling down on Lincoln Hensley you are great
Real country music for real country folk. You got it dialed in today.
I’m a born and raised city slicker from Toronto Canada,
… hey, I like it too, eh!
Ohhh Hael Yezzzz . . Dogs Are Howlin' Everywhere ! ( Me Too ! )
This is the best performance of this song as you will ever hear. The vocals, timing, pitch , and intonation on this performance is perfect.
Love the old classic bluegrass tunes!
Fiddle player is PRO!! Makes the band !! Put her up front!
I can hear ol Lester & Earl, this is top tier Bluegrass.

Great version. Dwight Yoakam would be proud.
