- We take you inside Hotel Haludovo on the Croatian Island Krk to explore the abandoned building. Haludovo Palace Hotel was built in 1971 in what was Yugoslavia. The hotel's casino was closed just a year later but the hotel itself had some success for a number of years. It eventually fell into disarray and hosted its final guests in 2001 - it's been abandoned ever since.

I've been there in 1985-1989, it was an absolutly amazing place
What an incredible building, so interesting that as humans we construct these incredible monuments to only destroy them later over time. Great to have this opportunity to go on your travel journey with you and share in the wonderment

I when there last year and it didn’t look like that with all the debris all over the place everything had been taken out and placed outside it looks like it has been tidy up a bit when I went there it is a really big place I explored every bit of it . If you go down to the basement there was a bowling alley and arcades. It is such a shame that has been left like that. I would for loved to of stay there . And right over the other side there is an old restaurant which I explored as well and there seems to be a lot of apartments on the other side.
It nice to be able to safely walk around it. There were a few long dark hallways that I think joined some of the areas together but I didn’t explore them as they were too dark. It’s huge isn’t it with an amazing beach down below, pools and beautiful views it must of been an amazing place to stay. We stayed on KRK island for a week and it was great. 😃
Hannah and Myron - Van life in Europe I love exploring abandon places but this had to be on my number-one list it was just so big to look around I will definitely go back if I could and explore a lot more from the video that I watched it has changed a hell of a lot there is probably bits that I didn’t see. I see from your you tube you took a trip round Europe that what I did with a friend of mine last year that how we ended up at the hotel we when to some of the places that you when to I had a really nice time I would do it all over again and go to some different places. Travelling in a camper van is a great way to see countries and their random spots like this, you never know what’s around the corner. Maybe we will see you there next time! 😃🚐🚐
