Thanks so much for your easy, tasty and pretty dishes and recipes. I love them all. You have helped me learn and enjoy cooking traditional Vietnamese and soul food much more to spice up my paleo meals plan. Wish you great success, happiness, good heath and prosperity ^^!!!
Good tip on "know-your-oven" bits. You are very entertaining. I don't know if i would try the recipe, but it has been enjoyable watching your videos. I also love the salsa music in the background (a bit loud, but I happen to love salsa, so I don't mind much). Keep up the good work!
The whole thing looks amazing, but I just made that red onion vinaigrette on a whim and damn, that is a condiment I am gonna have on hand all the time!
I never know we can use sweet soy sauce. I always use sugar instead :( I'll try this new ingredient. And I can't wait to see your next dish. Great job, Cathy!
Hi Kelly! Yep, I've updated to this new recipe to omit the use of sugar, regular soy sauce and caramel sauce.. as all three are now replaced by the sweet soy sauce... Love it when it's simple!
Trích nguồn từ Wikipedia: Bò lúc lắc (sauté diced beef) is a French-inspired Vietnamese dish that consists of beef sauteed with cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pepper, and soy sauce. The beef is cut into small cubes the size of playing dice (hột lúc lắc) before being sauteed.
I really miss you speaking Vietnamese and your Viet humor but congrats on your fresh start, your video looks really good! Maybe turn the music down just a bit?? :)
I totally agree :) It s really charming and cute as the same time when she speaks Vietnamese. There is something special about her voice. I wonder where was you originally from, it doesn't sound like Nothern Vietnam to me :D
What is the sweet soy sauce? What brand should I get it? Is there anything else I can substitute with if I can't find it at the store? Your Bo Luc Lac looks tasty chi.
Hi Iris. The sweet soy sauce is very popular now. These are some brands you'll see, and are very good: Lee Kum Kee, Kikoman, ABC, or Bango (as Kecap Manis). Try google image and you'll see what the brands look like. Or you can make it with 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/8 cup of water. Heat over medium heat and stir until you see it bubbling and turning brown, and cooked down. Watch over it or it'll burn fast, about 6-7 mins. Store your leftover in a glass container in the pantry.
Thanks for the clarification, Kingkingjustin. You're very up-to-date with Viet cuisine! I heard that "Bun Cha Ca" in Vietnam is very popular now. I'll have to seek it out and see about making some. Tootleloo!

There is a green vegetable they use with this that is a little bitter. Do you know what the name of the vegetable? Arugula?
Watercress is the vegetable, Arugula might be acceptable substitute.

Traditionally speaking, isn't the cut filet mignon?

Hi chi, can u do a recipe for bun ca
Hi em. Is that fish and vermicelli, dry or soup? Sounds interesting.
Cathy Ha I think she meant vermicelli soup with fish meat and fish cake :)
Thanks for the clarification, Kingkingjustin. You're very up-to-date with Viet cuisine! I heard that "Bun Cha Ca" in Vietnam is very popular now. I'll have to seek it out and see about making some. Tootleloo!

What kind of red wine are you serving with this dish? Thanks
A nice red blend or pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon all will pair well with this beef.

Bo Luc Lac "soft porn style" 😂
Now you are making video in English version and you dress up totally differently . I am surprised !
First time I have ever seen a cooking show with innuendos. It's a bit too sexual for me. What has happened to Foodland?
How she had not shaking the pan during cooking ? She was doing a good show & fashion show not a profession cook !
Kathy are you cooking or flirting with the camera please don't do that and talk right too it cooking show not a love show.!!!!@
Zoey Wong shut up.
