Surprised Gusty Gardens wasn’t the one for Mario Galaxy, even as an honorable mention. Either way, great picks. Some of these I haven’t heard in awhile

I agree with his pick of king bowser to be fair. Gusty garden is legendary, but its a bit overdone now. This song actually feels like a boss fight instead of some playdate like some other bossthemes in the series and i love it for that.
Am just glad that finally someone pick something else than Gusty Garden, cause Gusty Garden is soo good, that we can forget how good the other tracks were compare to this masterpiece.
This biggest crime is not even listing the world 7 theme for nsmb Wii as an honorable mention, gotta be the best over world theme in the entire game

Underwater is just soo good while the main theme is iconic yet not as good

@@barr4ckObama240 Every other song is 20x better. If you think I'm insane, you either have to replay mario galaxy or relisten to the soundtrack rn. It's one of my favorite games and I definitely know that's probably the worst one in the entirety.

Honestly, the Galaxy Intro theme, the File Select Screen music, and the Star Festival theme are my top 3 choices. But Super Mario Galaxy is just that kind of game.

The credits theme for Super Mario Galaxy is phenomenal. So beautiful and gives me so much nostalgia and tears of joy. The feeling of finally 100% completing the game after 8 years made me so overjoyed and made me look fondly of the memories.
For Galaxy, I'm really partial to the theme for when you wake up on the tiny introductory/tutorial planet at the very start of the game (just after Bowser steals the castle). Especially when you get the little additional accompaniment when you start chasing the star bunny.
For Super Mario World, I hoped for Yoshi joining the party, and he did. Great! But the Staff Credits theme is still my all-time Mario favorite.
Finally, some appreciation for Mario 1 Underwater Theme!
Imo the underwater theme is not the best song in the game. Not saying it's bad, just not the best.

It had to be "Dire Dire Docks," but I agree with others that "Gusty Garden Galaxy" is Galaxy's greatest track (and debatably the greatest Mario track ever).
But so many great songs from so many great games.
It's okay that any Mario Galaxy song came out, because the entire soundtrack is the best

Really, really solid choices! Almost seemed like my own choices haha! I especially agree with the choices for Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Super Mario, SM64, New Super Mario Bros DS, NSMBW, Super Mario Galaxy (though I prefer a lot of their calmer tracks) Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario World. The others I would definitely agree on but I'm not too familiar with their OSTs lol

imma be honest I watched this entire video purely to know what your pick for the best song in super Mario 3-D land was, because it’s the Mario game. I played most as a kid because that’s what I had on my DS, and special world eight has always been my favorite Mario song ever. Seeing it as your pick made the whole video worth it and you have gained yourself a follower.

loved this list, differs from my opinion but respected them sm nonetheless as they were great picks. I'd have chosen gusty garden somewhere and chosen the main theme for nsmbw or choose that for honourable mention, but those are already appreciated or the credits for sm64, but the credits for smw2 yoshi's island and the shop theme for nsmb2 were things I never knew existed and love them both now so tyvm
I thought "you should do this for Metroid" but I realized it would be so much shorter because of how few metroid games there are. Top 2 maybe.

Really just glossed over gusty garden
For me I always remember the first time I heard the final fight music in Super Mario Galaxy and it's still my favourite from the game to this day, although Gusty Gardens and the credits music are also amazing songs for me.

I can get behind most of these choices but the Super Mario Galaxy one was poverty - that soundtrack has so many bangers like 'Super Mario Galaxy' - (the song), Egg Planet, Wind Garden, (obviously comet observatory like you included), stardust road, and honeybee kingdom
Dire Docks almost stands far above the rest for me but they are all so good. Musicians are crazy. New Super Mario DS as a game is a true underrated gem of a classic up there with Mario World, don't at me

I would just chose "space world" for sunshine , "gusty garden" , " to the gateway" , "space junk road" or "battlerock" for galaxy ( but it's galaxy) and steam garden for odyssey

I agree the end credits of Yoshi’s island is great, but I personally think the final boss theme is slightly better

1. I could only imagine how tough it must have been to pick just one song from Super Mario Odyssey. That soundtrack is so good!
2. I’m sorry, but World Bowser is LEAGUES better than Double Cherry Pass. I don’t care if I lose internet street cred by saying that.
