BTOB made the conscious decision to split up their military enlistment…the Hyung line (Eunkwang, Minhyuk, & Changsub) enlisted Aug 2018 to Feb 2019 with end of service April 2020 to September 2020. The maknae line (Hyunsik, Ilhoon, & Sungjae) all enlisted in May 2020 (HS & SJ on the same day 5/11) with end of service in November 2021. Ilhoon was supposed to end his service in Feb 2022 (about 1 month before their 10th anniversary) but stuff happened and he left the group Dec 31, 2020. They chose to do this so someone would always be with Peniel who didn’t have to serve as he is an American citizen and to be together for their 10th anniversary on March 21, 2022. Their first comeback after enlistment was in January 2022 with a full album called Be Together with title track “The Song.” “The Song” is a ballad specifically for their fans to thank them for always supporting them and waiting for their military service to end. Eunkwang & Minhyuk are 33 (Nov 1990) turning 34 this year, Changsub will be 33 this month (Feb 1991), Hyunsik will be 32 & Peniel will be 31 next month (March 1992 & 1993) and Sungjae will be 29 in May (May 1995). Ilhoon will be 30 in October (Oct 1994).

Thank you for this reaction..we all love this song, too. For me, I believe the scars and bruises are all symbolic. Coz during the enlistment time of the members..those were the hard days..being away from home, separated from each other, missing their fans and losing a member..it felt like being broken and battered I guess..as if they came from a battlefield and had the worst time of their lives. So this song was released last year..after all the things they have been through.and the lyrics of the song are screaming out Ilhoon's name (the mv has English subs, by the way). And it's message is simply knowing that there's a missing piece, looking at old pictures coz they're missing someone..wishing that someone is doing fine, happy and feeling the love they are sending through their wind and wish. Of course it can be for anyone..any person can relate to it..but it can also be for Ilhoon..whom they love and still care for coz he's their brother. All Melody know that. You could check out their WIND AND WISH dance practice (so hilarious but also so good). There is also the WIND AND WISH special choreography video (funny too, with them reliving their childhood days & wearing the same clothes they had in their childhood photo). You could also check out BTOB 4u's mv of SHOW YOUR LOVE and OUTSIDER..with their matching hilarious dance practices. BTOB can't help but sing LIVE even in their dance practice and they can't help but be funny, too..that's just the way they are. They are multi talented guys with great music, amazing personalities and good humor. We just can't help but love them all. We're all excited for these back to back comebacks. You see, Hyunsik will be having a solo comeback this Feb 16th, BTOB will have a group comeback in March then Changsub will have a solo comeback in April. When many of us Melodies first heard this song, we immediately thought it was from the members to Ilhoon. We miss him so much but hope he is well and doing what he wants to do. @@hallyureviewsus I've been into Kpop since around 2004-2005 but I kinda have only been into 2nd and early 3rd gen groups because I just can't keep up with the other groups after that. I can't even keep up with all the 2nd and 3rd gen groups, so my knowledge is limited to that period and for only those groups. This is actually a downer but, as far as I know, there are no idol singers that join back their previous group after they left it.
