not as fast. Peaty is notorious for hating scm, he'll probably despise scy. Also, he's not used to the feel at all. Especially for breast and fly, stroke count/length are very important and that gets totally messed up if you do a different format.
Yeah Peaty's short course is poor. He's insanely good LC
Surprisingly Adam peaty just broke the scm 100 breast world record a few days ago. But of course short course yards and short course meters in terms of the underwater have a huge difference. So Adam peaty still wouldn’t be able to break the short course yards record.

Why this records not become world records?
Because this is a 25 YARD pool and only America swims yards. To break a world record, one should break it in a 25-meter pool or a 50-meter pool (Olympic sized pool).

Brendan B it’s because the rest of the world uses the metric system. These are technically world records but they’re referred to as American records because only America swims in yards

It’s short course. The olympics use 50m pools, NCAA uses 25m pools.

In most of the world, we swim in 25-meter pools for short course and 50-meter pools for long course. 25 yards is pretty damn short if you're not used to it.
