An impact gun will get the flywheel bolt off easily if you have one. To tighten, I pulled the starter pinion out to engage the flywheel and then wedged a screwdriver in the gears.
Great video! Also do you have any videos of you pulling out a starter in a 650? If so that'd be great to see some instructions on how to pull out one of those suckers
I know this is a long shot because the video is a few years old but any tips on removing the stator wire from the engine block.. I am trying to take the motor out of the hull but don't know how to remove that wire without yanking it and ruining it .. thanks for the answer if anyone sees this and has one :D
Some people say you should use lapping compound and lap the surface between the flywheel and crankshaft. Very informative video!

Don't put rope in the spark plug hole!. Use the teeth of the flywheel and a bolt from the cover and a large flat screwdriver. It will hold it

do you know if all the flywheels are the same size 440/550/650?
