      Sorry for not responding for so long, guys. I am still taking fin and doing 5% minoxidil (once a day only tho). I tried microneedling but I felt like I was only wasting my time, maybe because of the cheap tool I used and I ditched it. Results are great so far but biggest change could be noticed only after about 7-8 months of taking finasteride. I am thinking of quitting it though because my nipples got hit pretty fucking hard because of finasteride and it makes me kinda uncomfortable in the summer. I want to reach full 1 year of using to compare pictures. I know that it works for me but the gyno fucking throws me off real hard so after I hit the 1 year mark I will have to reevaluate what's more important for me (if quitting fin will make gyno go away, if not then fuck it, i will keep taking it and maybe get a surgery).
      I also started using a shampoo with ketoconazole few months ago which also could be helpful.

    I can no longer find the pub med article where I read this but it stated that a dermaroller of 1.5mm is equivalent to ~0.66mm with a derma pen like the derminator. That means you don’t need to go a full 1.5mm with the pen (a good thing). The derminator doesn’t allow you to input 0.66mm, but only in 0.25mm increments. You should be good with 0.75mm.

    The problem with Minoxidil twice a day:
    Are we trying for 24 hours of M?
    Showers must be taken. I shower in the morning. M takes time to dry, a good while.
    Sweating. When you sweat, won't M sweat off of your scalp?
    And what if you only get one good dose a day. My best dose is in the evening after work until morning. I don't have time to wait in the morning for M on my head to dry. I usually apply around 11AM if I can and reapply after work.
    What is the goal for M? 16 hours a day? 20 hours a day?
    If doses could be achieved, is this the only way to grow hair?
    What if I am only getting 65% daily dosing of 100% M. I mean, M is not always on my head the other 35% of the time.

    The tretinoine minox combo would probably not work for beardgrowth though because if I'm not mistaken, tretinoine has dht blockers in it so that would counter body hair growth. But maybe despite having some dht blockers, the increased effectiveness of minoxidil might outweigh the slight loss you get from dht blocking. I've been using Rogaine for beard growth for almost 3 months now. One thing I think people don't understand is that Rogaine isn't all that's to it. You have to nourish the hair and give it nutrients to grow more. A proper supplement regimen with the correct Minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and collagen precursors to give the hair a foundation to start growing at faster rates. Castor oil Is an essential nutrient for thicker hair and healthy skin. All sorts of factors need to be covered in order to properly grow healthy hair.

      The 9-count cartridge is $4 (recommended for thinning hair/scalp). If you're using it once a week that's $208 a year. If you're trying to get 2 weeks out of the needles to shave that down to $104/year I don't think your priorities are in the right place. All needles dull significantly after use. Considering what we're trying to accomplish, you'll want the best quality/sharpness needles. I wouldn't risk using dulled needles, which would result in every other session not being as effective as the first. There's a reason they are disposable and easy to replace. Are you willing to save an extra $16/month for what might be reduced results?

    Tretinoin is only avaible with prescription in my country. Where would you buy it? There are some cheap creams and gels but there are just retinol cream and not tretinoin (acid form of vitamin A). Be careful guys, tretinoin is prescribed mainly to cure acne because one of its properties is to dry the skin reducing the sebum over production of the sebaceous glands. Combined with the drying effect on minoxidil, it's going to snow when you scrach your head! It also increases the skin sensitivity to sun so during summer, don't expose yourself with tretinoin on and without sunscreen.

      If not bent, the needles are perfectly fine if disinfected, but you'd probably want to replace the cartridge after 5 or 6 uses just to be safe, but truly I don't see any reason if the needles are still perfectly straight and disinfected.

    Hey, Derek. You should talk about Latanoprost in a video. Haven't seen people touch on the subject often.

    Would you recommend dermarolling or this micro needling for beard growth improvement? with minoxidil

      As someone whos been on minox for over 18 months I totally recommend. I've done videos on both my results on minox and a good dermarollering video on how to spot fake ones. You should check it out.

      Lather your face with vegetable oil, purposely get acne from it, claim that you’ve tried everything and pray that they will prescribe it to you.

      Eat. A ton of junk food to get acne and say you had it your whole life and can’t get rid of it

    I was told after my hair transplantation to take Minoxidil for at least 6 months. Do you have any information for my case on how important it is whether I am a responder or not? After my first hair transplantation I was not aware of shedding. This could be a signal for being a non-responder as I have read.

    You dont use minoxidil or ru58841, just a derma roller?

  • @loganhorrocks1317
    @loganhorrocks1317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    One of the studies mentioned that non responders became responsive after only about a week of tretinoin use, would you become a permanent responder after that? Or would you consistently need to use tretinoin every single time if you were previously a nonresponder

    • @Gratefully-
      @Gratefully- 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would assume you would need continued use but why wouldn’t you want to use tretnoin? It’s good for
      Your skin
