Its true! Caribbean people don't measure, we throw until the spirit of our ancestors tell us " alright chile dats it"
Yes, but we wash we rice
That's right mi chile 😆 😆
@@princetroy28 exactly cause I’m like is she not going to wash the rice🥲🚶🏽♀️
😄😄😄😄😄🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@princetroy28 true..but you don't have to..
Literally left my mouth watering right now. I absolutely love Caribbean cuisine! Doe’s this woman have a cookbook or recipe channel by any chance? That oxtail and chicken dish had me drooling!
Yh I'm Jamaican and I'm only 13 but not every Jamaican person can cook but ones who can cook can cook , like my late grandma and my mom dad who is a chef and aunt and many more .. note it runs in the family.
I used to cringe if I ever saw Guy Fieri on TV. I didn't realise what a nice human being he is. He totally changed my mind.
Same here. He seems to be a super chill, friendly and humble dude.
Caribbean people don't use measurements. We just add seasonings until the spirits of our ancestors tells us to stop lol
Damn right on the "until the spirits of our ancestors tell us to stop"😂
LOLOLOL!!!! sooo true the spirit of our ancestors and the natives as well too!!!
😂😂😂
😆😆😆 this is too funny
❤ this episode. The only thing we do is that we normally wash our rice... I am proud Jamaican 🇯🇲 !
I see alot of American cooking jamaican food and sometimes im head scratching. But this woman's food looked in point and just lil mummy's she defo knows what she's doing.
I know it seems weird to me too lol, but l guess we should not let the accent fool us. Many if not all would be of Jamaican descent ie their parents are Jamaican so accent or not they too grow up on Jamaican food straight ❤🇯🇲
Authentic Jamaican Oxtail Dish....straight to flavortown!
😋
I was wondering when will he visit a Jamaican restaurant. Gordon Ramsay need to do one of his trips here too
Jamaican food is the bombb
I remember having oxtail once a long, long time ago. My uncle made a dish and it was so good too! After that I always thought that that was how you made it and then I saw THAT - Holy mackerel! That looks absolutely divine, even if I'm not much for beans in general! 🤤 🤤 🤤
Some beautiful flavours being used there.
Love watching Guy Fieri.
Yard food is best🇯🇲🤗
❤❤🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Yu *know* dem way dere! 🇯🇲

Yardie's 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲😁😁
Good evening everyone this is Ronald Binns from Montego Bay Jamaica SB 😆❤👀
Thanks welcome to 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
2:29 Stop right there! Jamaicans wash the rice before putting it in the pot. 😁
The rice and beans actually reminds me of a Ghanaian meal called "waakye".
There are different variations of it throughout the Caribbean.
Majority of carribean dishes originate from West Africa due to the slave trade
We probably got it from yall. Most black Jamaicans ancestry goes right back to Ghana, despite all the mixes. That Ghana footprint is STRONG in Jamaican history!
@@VenStarrr you haven’t seen the dna ancestry test on TH-cam. Majority of the Jamaican ancestry highest percentages are from Nigeria, Benin and Cameroon.
In Nigeria we call beans "wake" in the north
Man guy seems like such a nice dude.
Never had Oxtail before but damn that food looks amazing
It is
If you find a real authentic Jamaican restaurant, you will never regret the oxtail meal. It will Wow you! 😃
She gwaan with her thing good
Nice food sir! .unesco heritage!
in ceará- brasil, bean with rice is called BAIÃO it's common and cultural food
Been in the kitchen a little too long there sister 😂🤣
This is the real life.
Getting paid to eat food and talk about it.
Fuck my life.
The food looks great
😋
Now that is very yummy yo and enjoyable
Yah man!
I literally eat rice and gravy as a snack I'm not gonna lie its my comfort food lol
First of all Wash the damn rice..... Doh forget to WASH YOUR RICE!!!!!!!!
Yes, we wash our rice.
Need to come to Jamaica
That looks extraordinary
0:13-0:15 in the neighborhood of Manchester, Richmond (Virginia).
Expression at 04:04 😂🤣
I wish it was near me
Ha ha😅🤣🤣
Im a jamaican but cooking oxtail over there still cant taste like the one in jamaica cuz the hold cooking of it is different from this..
I’ve had oxtail abroad that tasted as good, or some better, than any cook shop or restaurant in Jamaica. Don’t be fooled some overseas people can certainly cook. Cooking spectacular food comes from the heart, whichever country you live in.👩🏾🍳 🥘❤️💛💚

Yaaassss 🙌🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Yummy!!!
I definitely put tomatoes in my stewed oxtail
First time I've seen caribbean Americans actually cook food correctly
That lady's accent suggested that she is from Yard.
@@kerishatyrell1967 sounded american to me
@@kerishatyrell1967 the old lady yea
3:36 Bro said we😂😂
Yes, there are actually white Jamaicans, Chinese jamaicans, not just black people. It's not a race.
@@kerishatyrell1967Thanks for telling me what I already know but he's not Jamaican LOL he has no accent and he's pale. He's a full blooded white American trying to claim just because he's eating at a Jamaican restaurant. Nice try though.
@@travelingtheworld8224 there are white Jamaicans born and raised lol
Luv it!
Oxtail is Mr. Oxtail now yes..
Να καταλάβαινα κ τι έλεγες καλά Θα ήταν γιατί μου αρέσει πολύ η εκπομπή σου!!! ❤️
Mi nuh trust har shi nu strain har coconut and shi nuh wash har rice
Mi sey. And who put tomato in oxtail.
Thought I was the only one who saw that she didn’t wash the rice. Jamaican people wash rice before we put it in a pot
Lol
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🍽🍽
Rice and peas guys, rice and peas. Red kidney peas
Kidney beans
What I like about this video, people will know that Jamaica has citizens of every hue , in the days of slavery there was a large free colored population, the children of white planters and slaves In addition to creole Whites those of European ancestry who were born in the islan and after slavery ended , East Indians were brought to the islands. Their lovely jerk and curry comes from a fusions of the culture of their ancestors.
Those people weren't slaves, they were enslave and make up 90% of Jamaica. You're correct about the fusion of black, Indian, white, Chinese, etc food to create Jamaican food
no one talking about the girl at 0:28 stunning
Jaboody.
Im definently going to have to make that grazy myself noe
you cant even spell now and you gonna make that gravy? goodluck and yes i know i didnt spell anything correctly but im not trying to make the gravy;)
I know this guy from American dad
That looks good
He didn't try d curry goat.??
😆😅😂🤣
water in my mouth :d
Pervert!
I remember one episode this dunce was served oxtail and he turned up his face and said something sarcastic
wow
Everything is his favorite
That oxtail is the americanized preparation. Def, not the authentic way at home. Broad Beans not Butter. Ginger, Pimento for the rice and Specifically a green pepper not Yellow for the rice.
The Jamaicans questioning her Jamaican-Ness cause she aint wash that rice
As an authentic Jamaican we WASH our rice, it’s just nasty to me to see ppl add dutty rice to their pots and just put it on without washing it…….
That slomo moment... Heheh.. U see that its Deliciuoso!!!!!
No pimento? No garlic?
Another name for pimento is all spice. She used it.
no browning in the oxtail?!? 🥴
She put browning
This food seems very thyme consuming to make.
😂😂😂
I bet is uptown she come from. Because country and ghetto people know se they must wash the rice!
This is NOT authentic Jamaican oxtail. We don't cook with Adobo and worcheshire sauce
And we wash rice
Different family cook different. 🤷🏽♀️ Some people add Worcester sauce, some add soy. Much o’ we cooking come from using up whatever we find inna di pantry.
@@MercurialRed9 like basic things everyone should know
Yet everybody just stressing
she was probably baad 15 years ago.
Jamaicans and measuring🙄😃
no no no no
How 'bout the Jerk Chicken and curry goat..???
They can't feature every dish. I'm sure it's on the menu
This is not authentic ,as a jamaican
I agree. She is doing her thing though
Shaarrrdddduuuuppppppp.
It is not authentic when she added the adobo seasoning to the Stewed Oxtail?.
@@mayena we dont use adobo we use maggi the average jamaican doesn't even know what Worcestershire is much less where to get it ,and she didnt strain her coconut the seasons she used aren't everyday jamaican seasons but I didnt say any of that to disrespect her food just saying it cant be considered authentic
@TH-cam Account ok
She didn't even wash the rice that's far from authentic
Onion inna rice n peas??? Foolishnish dat.
