You're very kind. It wasn't a planned video, I just spoke to Jerome over lunch and couldn't believe the effort that went into growing these vines, so did this video off the cuff straight after. Magical place..
Harry is proof, alongside David Attenborough, that engagement and entertainment are not dependent on silly presenting, noise or stupid gimmicks. Like the wines, it is a case of genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail! Thank God for TH-cam channels and Harry.
It’s sometimes easy to poo poo the cost of a product. You then see the level of care and attention some company’s have for their product. Another great video Harry.
Hi, Harry! Farmer and car lover here (from Kenya). Thanks to your 812 Superfast video I found your farming channel. Awesome! You've shown your tractor on Harry's Garage before, but I'm chuffed to see you're sharing your farming experience too! Cheers, mate! Hope the wine was sublime
If more of us gave this tremendous channel a thumbs up, some people who don't know it exists might just be lucky enough to have TH-cam suggest it to them. 36K subscribers is a scandal for this quality.
I came from Harry's Garage. I love how whenever Harry shows his amazement at a process or the amount of work involved in getting the very best flavour Jerome just says "But look! Look at the colour/quality/etc!" His passion shines though. Wonderful.
Perfect example of some interdisciplinary learning. You are using your presenting/filming/editing techniques from your motoring channel, and applying that to making captivating videos that teach us about wine making and farming. Love it, Harry.
I'm already looking forward to the video where Harry plants 50 vines for a small annual run! We have a vineyard near us in Leeds and they seem to be doing better every year, as the climate changes. My parents had a vine in a poly tunnel, and it made some some excellent wine. Hard work, but worth it. Very satisfying.
Better than anything the usual media channels produce. Straightforward and informative, from enthusiastic and knowledgeable people, without the PC BS. Keep it up!
Monsieur Metcalf, why not plant about 50 vines of a sweetish local grape and make a Christmas wine every year. I do it with a muscadine blend , mash the grapes by hand and have had some great success. It’s fun!
Thank you Harry, for going all that hard work. Traveling to countries far away and then driving those cars and visiting all kinds of places, just do that we don’t have to do it ourselves. 😉 (In all seriousness I do appreciate the effort you take to produce these video’s and it’s a joy to watch them!)
I see your comment section is devoid of any thumbs down. THIS IS OF NO SURPRISE given the glorious content. It must take a lot of effort to produce such high quality videos, I'm sure everyone of your subscribers appreciates it.
I must commend you once again. You produce some of the most diverse and interesting videos on this and your other channel. HIGH LEVEL HARRY AND MRS. M TOO.
Any video you produce on this or your other channel are amongst the best on TH-cam. Thank you for providing small snippets of excellent content every week.
i just watched Harry's Espada getting its first test drive after the engine rebuild...and now this...Also VERY interesting! THANKS..great video content ps- and a wonderful French Host for the video
I find it outstanding how you work in harmony with the Earth. Our standard in the U.S. is, how far can we push the soil past dead and still bring it back enough to raise a decent new GMO crop the next season. The problem with this thinking. Is, that our soil is always on the edge of death. So if there's a little "hiccup" in the climate there's no room to spare. Respect does not exist here. As always great video!
I somehow did not realize you had this channel as well as the garage channel, Harry... weeks after subscribing to that. I Just hit subscribe and the bell for this Channel. Really enjoyed my first Harry's Farm video. You really seem to know how to live life! Thanks for all the great content. Especially enjoyed the end of the Porsche Turbo video... as did my wife. ☺️ Keep up the great work... and, as a rural Ontario, Canada dweller, I look forward to learning more about the farm as well as the cars. Cheers!
1.4k likes to 6 dislikes. I think harry must have the best like to dislike ratio on youtube. Every video he puts out is so interesting I have to watch the whole thing!
As always, brilliant. Every Harry’s Farm video makes me wish to switch my city life to a suburb life, grab my family and Start doing something with my hands.
Really enjoyed this video - can't afford the wine, but it is reassuring that there are people in the world who care that much about what they produce 😁. Good luck with your harvest - looking forward to your next video.
Wow oh wow! Nurturing nature! What an absolute dream. I was in awe as you were Harry. What a remarkable business and what unapologetic attention to perfection. It gives me a warm feeling this! If only this was viable in other sectors too.
Now I do not drink anything alcoholic and wine is an “unknown” substance to me BUT Harry still makes a fascinating video about it which I watch and appreciate fully! Remarkable! Well done Harry...I hope you had room for enough bottles in that car!!😀😀😀
This video took me to Daylesfords website for a browse! When you look at the passion, commitment and time that goes into a bottle I was suprised how reasonably priced it is. Great video, really interesting
I have never been a wine drinker and have no idea between sweet or dry and all those varieties. The only thing I do know is that Asti Spumante tastes like vinegar. I am still fascinated by this video and learning how it's done. Amazing location too. Thanks Harry!
Excellent video & tour. I've spent a lot of behind-the-scenes time touring Erath Winery in Oregon, USA, which is much more on par with the latitude of Cotswold's UK. You can do this. Looking forward to Harry's Winery. Cheers!
Bravo, great video! Don't be put off trying it though Harry - it's absolutely possible to successfully grow small batch, high quality wines in this country. There are several highly noteworthy vineyards from Norfolk down to Surrey.
Crazy amount of work and investment, thanks for sharing! As they say in the Napa Valley in California, "If you want to make a little money making wine, start out with a lot of money"
I have yet to see a dull video from you. You make dirt interesting. That's a hell of an accomplishment. If i had a preference, it would be more dirt bike trips though!
Great video and wine making is such a labour of love - Will have to try their white and red wine - hadn't realised that Rose accounted for 80% of their production.
Oh la la! mon ami, I don't think I'll be growing vines back in Burford, then. Never mind, Harry, Mr Tyrrell has your Espada running sweetly again, and awaiting your pleasure.
Absoulutley fascinating! Harry, dude, you are the best. I’ve learned SO much from your videos; as much about farming as cars. Thanks! BTW: if you ever come to the states - Washington, D.C. - we must sit down and chew the fat. Peace....
What an excellent video, very informative. I think it's made me realise I should drink less but better quality wine! I'm moving off the £5 Aldi special I usually get and go for a £10 bottle instead :) Cheers Harry!
Hi Harry, 'Bloody Hell' a great VLOG, what a massive amount of investment in time/money and attention to detail to produce wine, just brilliant. Well done JCB. Regards, RichardA.
I'd love to buy a JCB to work on my land, seams Bamfords did it the other way round. Not only did they dig it out but the had to grade it into the different components before layering it all back in.
accd to youtube one isnt allowed to do well for themselves. some people do it ..mainly because they can my friend. ( i say friend becaue youre not my enemy)
That 20 minutes was more captivating and informative than any TV programme could ever hope to be.
You're very kind. It wasn't a planned video, I just spoke to Jerome over lunch and couldn't believe the effort that went into growing these vines, so did this video off the cuff straight after. Magical place..
@@harrysfarmvids More Harry's Farm on the road in future please.

Thank God for TH-cam channels and Harry.
Haha, no smelling, no turning the glass, just bottoms up. Love it!
It’s sometimes easy to poo poo the cost of a product. You then see the level of care and attention some company’s have for their product. Another great video Harry.
Seeing the obsession about quality and the intense manual labour makes the £17 bottle look like a bargain

Brilliant Harry. Nothing like tasting the wine where it is grown. Thanks for sharing your experience here.
Stunning scenery, another of Harry’s videos worth watching.
All of Harry’s videos are great
areton senner you are of course completely right.
I came from Harry's Garage. I love how whenever Harry shows his amazement at a process or the amount of work involved in getting the very best flavour Jerome just says "But look! Look at the colour/quality/etc!" His passion shines though. Wonderful.
You can tell that product is all about quality, from the very beginning. Attention to detail is off the charts 👌
Perfect example of some interdisciplinary learning. You are using your presenting/filming/editing techniques from your motoring channel, and applying that to making captivating videos that teach us about wine making and farming. Love it, Harry.
You know Harry was looking at those grapes on the floor and was thinking " I would be making some plonk out of that !"
I could literally watch paint dry if Harry presented it.
But he's never boring ( to me)
Me too, literally. To me he is a bit like merging Clarkson and May together, then adding a twist of lightness, openness and joy.
Agree. He’s a cool dude too. Owns a lovely Patek watch, stylish guy, knowledgeable.
A tip: watch movies at Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Kai Ramon Yea, I've been watching on kaldrostream for months myself :D
Had the pleasure of meeting Jerome, what a legend! 🍷

Harry's like a kid in this one, great to see.

Jerome is a lucky man - utterly in love with his job and why not. Parfait!
Monsieur Metcalf, why not plant about 50 vines of a sweetish local grape and make a Christmas wine every year. I do it with a muscadine blend , mash the grapes by hand and have had some great success. It’s fun!
I like the sound of this, thanks for the great top tip! Will investigate..
Looks like one of the main ingredients in wine making is patience and lots of it. Superb insight, thank you Harry. Plus: Jerome drives a Defender. 👍🏻

Jerome did a brilliant job explaining how Leoube gets their fantastic quality
Best "Harry's Farm" video yet, so refreshing to see such passion and patience instead of "make a fast buck Britain"
Thanks Harry - really shows why they are one of the best - it really is an obsession and it’s great to hear their attention to detail ❤️

I was close to skipping this purely based on the title, however super interesting and mental how much work goes into vineyards!
