1 month ago, I commented unfairly. The camera and the tutorial are fine, I guess I was a little slow on the uptake. The camera and the tutorial are really very good and the camera is fun to use at night to see who visits your property. Steve, forgive me please for my knee jerk response as I was figuring out the use of the camera... as always people see the world as they see it, not how it actually is...thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate your actions...Val
Quick question! How do you check battery level? Is there a way to see how much battery life the camera has? (For example, 85% battery life remaining or 45 hours remaining) When we set ours up it told us but we can't figure out how to check again. We couldn't find it in the set-up/instruction booklet.

I have called the company and asked about how to change the video recording time from it's factory setting of 10 seconds and have yet to get a clear answer. The manual states how to do it but that does not work.

These instructions are very clear. Thank you. But I do have a question. the specs state: "The Stealth Cam G42NG game camera offers plenty of area coverage with its 60 feet detection circuit. The Black infrared emitters of this camera have the capability to detect motion up to 100 feet away. So overall, the camera provides a solid detection circuit. The distance can vary depending on the mass heat of the generating object. Bigger objects will be able to trigger the camera from further distances." I had this set up on my driveway and my brother drove in, parking 40 feet away, got out, moved around the car, got back in, drove off and the camera did not pick anything up until the car was out of frame and that is when the camera went on and you could hear the car driving off. No picture of the car or him. I then set it up on the porch. Could only get the camera to work when my dog was 10 feet away. At 30-40 feet picked up nothing. What may be the problem?

I have the GMAX32NG and when on video it continuously films until the batteries are dead.
My stealth cam gave a message saying something like "battery save mode, daytime pictures only". The camera rarely takes nighttime pics. Can I disable this feature? If not, does anyone have a good solution for extending battery life. I've been using rechargeable batteries with small solar panels without much luck.
