“You can live a dignified life”: James’ Story

James, an avid reader and baseball fan, lives at Shores Landing, a MidPen community that serves seniors with extremely low incomes, many of whom have experienced homelessness or were at risk of homelessness. Since he moved into permanent supportive housing at Shores Landing in 2021, James has connected with community groups and transportation and medical resources, and having a stable home empowered him to have much-needed knee surgery to improve his quality of life. James enjoys participating in educational and movie/documentary groups organized by MidPen Services.
