I'm not sure how football works I only know about it from a baseball perspective personally. But, Scouts (whether it's college or Pros) tend to gravitate towards the "hot spots" for their respective sports unless something insane makes it through the grapevines. Now, coming from a "football" school with a decent reputation in western PA....scouts would see you there, it's Western PA and WPIAL It's produced some players (Aaron Donald/Boyd just to name 2 recent ones). However western PA is not a baseball hot spot, you have to recruit yourself and travel up and down the east coast doing the Camps and trying to impress there because chances are they aren't going to bother to find you. Mike Trout was a NJ boy....scouts literally said "we didn't trust who he played against" which is the case for a lot of sports and if they are against decent comp. There was a Stony Brook College out of NY who beat LSU and people wondered why and how (a fair few of them ended up getting drafted) MLB scounts and Perfect Game scouts said "most of them were from NY and cold weather states, they play less games, they play lesser comp and we don't like going there"
What sucks is there are so many players that are like this maybe not as good as Elijah but def d1 material and potential nfl prospects but they just get overlooked because they don’t have a big following or are from a small school… shit sucks
