the catch from max 300 is that they put the hold before the end of the double freeze so you can’t move into place, and so far this is the only song that does this so yea
I remembered back in DDR Extreme arcade, players played more of the other boss songs than this one. Probably because they don't like holds and do fast jumps. I also like the previous bg cover, as this one looks odd with many white holes
If I tried to play this now a days.. I'd get like 12 notes in then my knee would shatter, and as I'm falling over id snap my back on the safety bar and cause my spleen to fucking explode then I'd lose all functionality and just crumble to the ground, and because im so fat it would cause the floor to cave in.. And I'd fall in to the sewers while simultaneously farting and igniting the entire sewer system below the city I'm in.. Causing complete chaos and devastation.
I remember getting an A on this and everyone was impressed not because I beat it, but that I didn't bar grab. This was way back in the early 2000s, when bar grabbing wasn't as ubiquitous.
It still blows people's minds. I'm disappointed it's so uncommon. I think it's why Doubles are so rare. The meta denies free movement. Learning your body. Developing actual balance. So, Doubles is insane to them.
Because Konami felt the need to re-rate this song from 15 to 16. It was rated 15 before. I wonder. I don't disagree with either rating. It's arguably a 16, but it's also arguably a 15.
Max 300 has absolutely nothing on Unlimited. Nothing to do with gimmicks, Unlimited y faster, rhythmically more complex, has a ton of jumps and more difficult patterns. Unlimited is harder to pass and score plain and simple.

Dunno why it's a 16. I found Legend Of MAX harder on Expert which is a 15, and it's not comparable to Paranoia Survivor Max Challenge, another 16.
Now we get 780 bpm streams of cancer with 2 minute long crossovers, with excessive gimmicks

psmo and legend of max are much streamier so they're nicer to play, this one just feels nasty by comparison because of the stepjumps
It's just a lamer version of max 300. Nothing particularly special about it. Like pluto the first. Utterly forgettable.

Based on pure gimmicks, this is harder than max300. But overall I think this may be easier than max300
Cubic Transport I personally find this significantly harder, but there are people who actually do find MAX 300 to be harder.
Objectively, Maxx unlimited would be harder as this is a lvl 16 chart compared to lvl 15 chart for max 300
