Dear Karel, did you do any job on the front wheels and suspension system? For example, have you changed the antiroll bar silentblocks? Replaced by what? On mine, i worked a lot on the rear suspension (you can see the video "amusons-nous avec la 15 six hydropneumatique..." showing it works even days after stopped the engine. But i did nothing on front. And it needs a lot. Thanks you for your information
I have not had to do any work on the front suspension as this had already been done when I baught the car. Anti rollbar bushings were swapped with those from my 15H donor car.
Thank you for this interesting and useful video. Don't forget to connect the left dashpot ;) This is à 6H. Which suspension liquid do you use ? In my case, à mix of DOT4 and 15% castor (ricin) oil.
My 6H has been converted to green LHM fluid. All components are black though, and not green as on many cars. The only way to tell the difference is the green fluid in the plastic tube outside the round LHM tank. The LHM makes the system very reliable. I have driven over 32.000 km without any problem with the hydraulic system. I do replace the LHM about every 4 years.
Thank you Karel. Il know LHM is very reliable. Il hesitate to make the conversion. If i do it, i will include the brakes. I think brakes in a 15 six are more sensitive
If you want to use LHM in the brake system of a 6H, you should replace all the rubber components with ones that are suitable for LHM. This also includes the master-cylinder which is difficult to get at on a 6H. You should then use parts that are meant for the HY-version with LHM brakes. An alternative would be to use DOT 5 siliconde brake fluid. In any case you will need to thoroughly purge the entire brake system before applying the alternative fluid. If you omit the purging, you will inevitably run into trouble.
Karel, you're right. I've a green master cylinder. It's for this reason I'm thinking tout LHM. Concerning the silicon liquid, it's a bad solution for hydraulics: it has destroyed my black spheres. So I came back to LHS after having cleaned everything. If I adopt LHM, it will be for the whole.
