Slow crawl seems really hard to do. The liscence Mickeys are there just for show?? So it needs at least otb a 1080, inserts, spare shafts and lower gearing. Axial should make a kit of this one!
the UTB18 is the best crawler for the money, period. HW mini16 brushless motor/esc, dlux knuckles and axle shafts and heavy portal covers... it an extremely capable buggy for under $400. 4WS is a little gimmicky to me and it's not mini comp class legal. but, at $280 it's priced pretty well. those tires are too stiff to do any real crawling, but work well as a trail tire. wish axial would put some decent servos in because you're guaranteed to have to drop $20ea to replace them. I'd probably just wait for the drag axle to go back on sale, instead.
It looks awesome, and I like the 4 wheel steering. But...... they definitely should have addressed those CVDs. They are going to break. And now you have them on the front and rear. If you start binding up the 4ws you will snap those pretty quick. I like where they are going with this. I just wish they would have addressed the major flaw with this rig.
I think it’s actually 1/14th scale if you compare it to the UTB10. UTB10 = 318mm wheelbase. Therefore x10 = 3180mm wheelbase if it was a 1:1. UTB18 divided into that 1:1 wheelbase = 3180mm / 229mm = 13.89 or roughly 14th scale. If the UTB18 was a 12th scale, it would have a wheelbase of 3180mm/12=265mm
You mentioned the axle shafts tend to break. I was wondering which ones? Front or the rear? Which part? Is there an after market upgrade that solves this problem? Thanks for the information.
are there any telemetri on a Normal used DX6C transmitter. instate of that crap SLT3. Also is there options for switch light on/off from radio, I would defently put in the 2in1 spektrum 1400KV with sensor that is "smart" ready
I got the Baja Pro X tires on my TRX4 and they do perform well on sharp rocks and loose gravel & dirt but they really suffer on smooth surfaces. Any recommendations on a good tire or insert that would help grip on smooth rock? Love your channel by the way! I have you to blame for my addiction to the hobby now 😂
Everyone else ive seen reviews from have said the tires are fine also you just have to select seperate controlled rear stear thats why they gave you a slt3 the chanel switch is for seperate rear stear co trol
I already upgraded mine to 4WD and with a Furitek power system... but I've been struggling to find GOOD tires for it. Maybe these will be available separately.
I’m new to rc, and I don’t understand something, why is everyone harping on having a quick servo? These don’t go fast so I don’t see the need to have rapid steering
You can move the truck sideways (on a downhill slope) with a fast servo, saving you a reverse in a comp. You flick the steering left and right continuously and it'll slide down the hill
6:15 - I hope you make a graphic showing all these on one image: 10th MONSTER TRUCK behind 10th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 10th UTB 18th MONSTER TRUCK behind 18th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 18th UTB 24th MONSTER TRUCK behind 24th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 24th UTB At the same scale - in real life - MONSTER, TROPHY & UTB (SxS) all have very different wheelbases / body length & width, weight distrubution, etc. If the wheelbase of the UTB was the same length / width as a TROPHY TRUCK just so you can call them equal "scale" would be completely WRONG. That is NOT how scale works! PS: Just stating my understanding & perspective, not 'dissing anything said by @CapeCrawlers

Ordered!
Can't wait to see your upgrade vid! Lower gearing, softer tire inserts, and more durable CVDs!
ordered the yellow one today with two solid brass axles and an extra set of blue body panels!
Sweet rig! You’ve convinced me, this will be my next purchase. Can’t wait for the upgrade video. Thanks!

Looks great with this tire setup and the 4WS 🤠👌🏼
The 4WS is sick!! Tires look awesome too.

What I found with the utb 18 is the stock foams work great. Most of these aftermarket tires have foams that are way to firm.
Looks great. A lot more fun with the 4ws.Thanks for sharing. 👍🏼👊
If you do the math, a utb18 is actually 1/12 scale.

Yeah I agree! The 1/10 is nearer 1/8 too
Reefs Raw 400LP servos, dravtech shocks, add some brass and put in 3D Inserts with the Fusion pro 1/16 and you have a sick little buggy.
I finally got me that one can’t wait to try it on the local rocks
Awesome looking . Definitely needs softer inserts

This with a new Hobbywing Fuzion16 would be a great rig.
Wait, you mean I don't have to change the tires immediately... 🎉❤
Good video keep it coming
im honestly debating on these for my kids. this or the v2 non 4ws.. I want one too haha
that looks sick, is it round the size of a trx4m?
No,the utb18 is actually 1/12 scale if you do the math. The trx4m is a real 1/18 scale.
@Bonitacreekrcs it's not its 1/14
Cool buggy however i feel they could have squeezed in a 30T 540 and no cvd 's
Hello, how can I find 'Crawler heaven' does the park have a name I can put on Google maps?
Or is there a place closer to me in Milford?
Thanks
not for me, but would like to see dig and more aftermarket parts. plenty of aftermarket chassis though
And tomorrow some Reefs servos!!!!😂

You can move the truck sideways (on a downhill slope) with a fast servo, saving you a reverse in a comp. You flick the steering left and right continuously and it'll slide down the hill
What you do need for crawling is a strong servo, as it can pull you up hills if you get a front wheel stuck behind a rock
4ws yesss
Was waiting for the holdiay sales to pick up an AX24 .... Welp while that happened its out the Door Cause this is what i want
Does anyone offer upgrades for the axles?
Surprised they haven't done a 24 scale version...
There is the AX24
this rc is actually 1/12 scale in SIZE
6:15 - I hope you make a graphic showing all these on one image:
10th MONSTER TRUCK behind 10th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 10th UTB
18th MONSTER TRUCK behind 18th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 18th UTB
24th MONSTER TRUCK behind 24th TROPHY TRUCK behind the 24th UTB
At the same scale - in real life - MONSTER, TROPHY & UTB (SxS) all have very different wheelbases / body length & width, weight distrubution, etc. If the wheelbase of the UTB was the same length / width as a TROPHY TRUCK just so you can call them equal "scale" would be completely WRONG. Nice Nice
This a 12 or 14 scale and I want one lol
I JUST BOUGHT THE OLD ONE?!
I know! I got a Arrma fury a month ago and now there is the fury blx. $130 in upgrades for $30 more.
my biggest problem. it's not 1/18. That is 1/12 or 1/14 all day.
Horizon Hobby is going to send my wallet to snap city
seems like it needs weight
That's definitely not a 1/18 scale. More like 1/12. FMS 1/18 rc are the correct scale.
Cool but to much money
