- This is a quick instruction of basic and advanced options of the Zoll monitor. It reviews NiBP, pulse oximetry, manual mode, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, non-invasive pacing, and a few more functions. Please keep comments constructive and respectful. Not every function of the Zoll is reviewed.
Very quick and clear. Handy reference video.

hi can patient monitors crash?
+Annie Mooney Yes they can anything with software can crash BUT they generally have watchdog timers and would restart or reload the section of code. They run software that works in real time, things will happen at a pre determined time like computer aided machining. The software will also be reviewed by several different people during the development phase. The instruction in the Zoll M Series manual is if it behaves "oddly" (not a direct quote) turn it on and off. Have only seen it once with a faulty probe they would not pass the self test as opposed to work and then crash during patient care.
