In Ontario the insurance companies covered stone chip damage but when I went to Alberta they didn't but there were little gazebos set up in parking lots everywhere that did repairs on the spot. I'm not sure how reputable they were, I never used one.
30 years in B.C. and I even lost my home & Biz to a forest fire in Okanagan...I got so sick and tired of the yearly fires, and endless smoke! You can't camp comfortably or have a camp fire. I settled into Ontario and I don't regret it! Stay safe!

Get a good air filter…. (They do use a bit of power tho) for your van during fire season …. Helps so much. A professional window installer can repair the wind screen damage to prevent spread … takes about an hour.

I went up on the Gondola to the mountain top in Banff. I wanted to smell some fresh mountain air then I got out of Gondola to find that fresh mountain air smells like goat shit. lol . I wonder if Kelly has broken a guinness world record by being the most travelled cat in the world.

Be very careful when getting windshield replaced. You want to go to a place where if they see rust or corrosion, that they have the ability and care to repair that. Most only do the replacing. Inspect the seal area yourself when the windshield is removed. The older your van the more chance a windshield replace will leak when it rains.
I have been fortunate enough to have visited Jasper National Park twice, and thoroughly enjoyed nature’s beauty there. I’m just heartbroken over the devastating fires! One of the places we stayed with friends was burned completely to the ground; the other was a wonderful place with cabins where our family stayed. That place had more than half of their cabins completely burned to the ground. Shocking and so distressing! Sending love and resilience to the folks of Jasper who have had their lives upended by this tragedy.

I had a van years ago and it had a good chip that started to spider so I put a piece of duck tape on it. It lasted for 2 years and never grew. I was amazed. So you can try duck tape to hold for awhile. 🤞

I have been to Banff area twice and always before the end of June. After then, it's always too crowded. I found that driving the Icefields Parkway after 4 pm is best. It's so beautiful. I know it is closed north of Saskatchewan Crossing due to big fire. So sorry so much of the town burned. The photos I have seen are so sad 😢

I'm so sorry for all the fires going on there and here in the States as well. Lets just pray they don't get crazy as last couple years. But stay safe in your travels with the smoke. I had a custom stereo system in my van and I had that for many vans and it cracked every windshield I put that stereo in. and all it was was 400 watts total. lol I still have that system but I have not driven in years. I miss it.
As kitty gets older maybe joint supplements may help. When they stop doing what they used to do sometimes a reason. Glucosemide I think it’s called. Another great video. Love Alberta so beautiful !

I agree, cats and dogs easily get dehydrated in the summer. Good to put water over their food so they have to drink a little gruel to get to the food.

I fixed mine with gorilla glue before. Lasted until I sold the car.
