An all time great for sure, but he’s shooting 23% from the field and that is the 3rd worst fg percentage in the league on high volume. There’s def a reason they’re losing, but I won’t fully say it’s him. I hope he turns it around and I’m sure he will at some point.

I was at the Jazz game when he started in place of Murray and his stat line was meh with 5 pts, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds in 31 minutes (with 4 missed freethrows), but his impact was consistently palpable. He put pressure on the defense constantly and opened the floor for the other guys. I don't know how many "hockey assists" he had, but it was at least 5-6 (made the drive to collapse the defense, passed out, defense rotated too hard, pass to open guy for bucket). This is stuff we didn't have last year at all. His defense and his effort were great (he got the defensive player of the game chain, don't think Reggie ever got that). His overall impact is lightyears ahead of Reggie Jackson (who is the better shooter). Honestly, if Westbrook scores, that is really just a bonus at this point. We don't need that everynight but we need everything else he brings. Overall I've been pleased so far.

In LA they encouraged him when he did that sh** and it was just awful. We all saw how that turned out. Any focus away from basketball is unhelpful, especially with emotional Westbrook. If Russ can keep going this way, with positive focus on basketball and winning, then he'll stay out of his head and make a good impact. Otherwise he'll make emotional and bad decisions like he so often has in the past.
