Laura has been one of those constant artists for me, for 10 years now, that I've just always adored, always listened to, never momentarily forgot, always there. Forever my inspiration, forever n ever n ever! I give rather good commentary on her albums if u ever listen to them with me
I am blown away by this woman's voice and style, I am listening to her for the first time, and can't believe that she is not as big as other superstars, such Adele, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, etc. I guess it's due to the fact that her style isn't "pop" enough, but she is incredibly talented. Why have I not heard her on the radio? Oh, right, I forgot, I don't listen to it often, for the simple fact that they play the same songs over and over, and ignore thousands of great options in favor of a hand full of favorites (not my favorites) on repeat. Even the "classics" stations that play oldies, seem to have about 30 songs on their playlist that they keep repeating. It's like being in an alternative reality, where there is only about 100 songs in existence. Anyway, Laura Marling and hundreds of other artist deserve to be heard more on the radio.
Ok, my love for this gal has just reach another level. Growing since first album and her impressive opening for Ane Brun at La Maroquinerie, Paris (somewhere around 2008).
I love how she 'speaks' so melodiously!
I love how she drops some of her notes like Bob Dylan or Lou Reed
Lou reed indeed
Yyuuuppp
Of course there's things upon the Earth
That we must really try to defend
A lonely beast, a kind heart
Lyrics too
First time I heard her I definitely thought Bob Dylan. So great.

Listen to Noah and Wales - first days of spring. You can hear the singers heart breaking over his split with Laura Marling. It's quite extraordinary
@@Just1Humanoid Yes I would like to join you too.....Mia Rosa seems like a lovely woman to hang out with. :)
My absolute favorite performance of this song. Laura's vocals were on point.
I'm so happy to be alive at the same time as this magnificent woman.

She's been one of my favorite artists for about 8 or 9 years now. Her lyrics have always kept me enraptured!

LOVE this song....the flexibility she has with her voice is incredible
I'll never grow tired of this song. It's already a classic.
its crazy what she can do with her voice.
The rising of your notes and ability to not allow it to drift, but to actually drive it, is absolutely profound!!! You are a wild fire!
Timeless. We were all transported to a place where words had stronger meanings than they have now. "notepad"
This must be one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard in my life
This always makes me cry but I'm so addicted to the sound. It's impossible to stop.

Does anyone think the chord changes and the storytelling way the verses are similar to walk on the wild side by lou reed?
