Meanwhile our president is spending billions on a war and military equipment while families all around can’t even afford to eat because everything is so high .

My daughter has had 5.5 million dollars in back surgery for 120% scoliosis. 26 screws and two rods the length of her back. Countless surgeries. No doctor will release her to work but she cannot get disability. She can't even get medicaid to help with the pain and fibromyalgia.
$200 per person via Snap recpients meaning a house hold of 5 will get aabout 1400+ for each unemployed person ...yes inflation is a big keey but the bigger issue i saw as a snap recipent myself some of the snap benifits frrom households not watching their spending caused the food inflation...saw lots of ppl buying shrips for the trenddy shrimp boils etc..smdh redicoulous ..but as per uually suppy and demand...I used to live on 680 snap precovid and during COVID .most of the time with at least 300 or more to roll over the next month but thats because i was budgeting and feeding a fam of 4 with food STILL left over..the biggest problem is budgeting of snap repients trust me......

If you can, tell them you buy, cook, eat separately. They may require you or your mom to write a letter saying so. You'll have to do that every time you reapply. And they'll only give you food stamps for one person. Idk if that can help. Hopefully it does

I work in a deli, as my second job, because if the inflation (thanks Joe) and people come in and get filet mignon, specialty meats and cheeses and pay with an EBT card. That is absolutely ridiculous. If you claim to be so poor that you can't pay for your own groceries and others need to pay for you, then you shouldn't be able to get high end items. It should only be essential food item. There should be a list of 20 items that you can get (bread, milk, juice, cereal, eggs, etc) If you want tastycakes, soda, CRAB LEGS then grab a job application on your way out. Shame on our congress for allowing this to happen.

The age should increase to 18-65 since they are usually still able bodied. Hours per month should go up to 96. A lot of homeless abuse benefits so there should be a certain monthly hour requirement for them as well to get them back into the routine of supporting themselves. It would get a lot more people on the sidelines to justify their benefits, help the labor shortage, and contribute to the economy.
Take a look at the statistics on how many employers wont hire women over 40. Ageism is a bias against, discrimination towards, or bullying of individuals and groups on the basis of their age. Many women who have stayed home and raised children have a very hard time getting back in to the work force. People no longer respect the elderly and just consider them a burden. Please, please enforce this. There are so many people taking advantage of this and the government isn't doing their job enforcing it. I work in a deli, as my second job, because if the inflation (thanks Joe) and people come in and get filet mignon, specialty meats and cheeses and pay with an EBT card. That is absolutely ridiculous. If you claim to be so poor that you can't pay for your own groceries and others need to pay for you, then you shouldn't be able to get high end items. It should only be essential food item. There should be a list of 20 items that you can get (bread, milk, juice, cereal, eggs, etc) If you want tastycakes, soda, CRAB LEGS then grab a job application on your way out. Shame on our congress for allowing this to happen.

It’s common sense to have work or school requirements to receive food stamps, otherwise government encourages people to be ।azy by expecting Assistance instead of working. Where I live many able-bodied people CHOOSE NOT TO WORK OR WILL ONLY CHOOSE PART-TIME JOB instead of full-time hours or don’t get a second job TO WORK FULL-TIME -even though there’s plenty of help wanted signs on many businesses.

I’m ONLY talking about lazy people who DON’T WANT TO WORK, even though they’re strong, have 2 working arms & 2 working legs but they’d rather not work & get welfare benefits or only get a part-time job. I know of someone who got a new job, then she said since the restaurant only gave her 20 hours so she applied for benefits & food stamps instead of walking right across the road where 3 other businesses were hiring, to get another part-time job to equal 40 hours per week. Currently our Gov. encourages People to be on welfare.

The age should increase to 18-65 since they are usually still able bodied. Hours per month should go up to 96. A lot of homeless abuse benefits so there should be a certain monthly hour requirement for them as well to get them back into the routine of supporting themselves. It would get a lot more people on the sidelines to justify their benefits, help the labor shortage, and contribute to the economy.

Take a look at the statistics on how many employers wont hire women over 40. Ageism is a bias against, discrimination towards, or bullying of individuals and groups on the basis of their age. Many women who have stayed home and raised children have a very hard time getting back in to the work force. People no longer respect the elderly and just consider them a burden. I have a feeling they will just start putting the poor, homeless, and elderly in camps before long. Especially after reading Project 25 (officially the Presidential Transition Project.)
