The basic idea behind combining these two tools is to match crossovers. In other words, if one of the indicators has a cross, we wait for a cross in the same direction by the other indicator. When this happens, we buy or sell the equity.
LONG TRADE SETUP:
1. MACD crosses above its Signal Line
2. RVI crosses above its Signal Line
EXIT Rules:
We hold until the MACD line crosses below its Signal Line
SHORT TRADE SETUP:
1st. The MACD line crosses below its Signal Line
2nd . The RVI line crosses below its Signal Line
EXIT Rules:
To manage the position, we hold until the MACD line crosses above its Signal Line

if you set the MACD settings to 34 244 9 you get some really nice high prob set ups... combined with a 21 EMA and add the smoothing line to the EMA with smoothing line lengh of 15.... Very very accurate strat

I find that for intraday forex trend trading most important relevant (Guide)trend direction is ON 15 minute, 1h and 4h charts only-- For intraday trading weekly & monthly trends do not matter much(too far removed from intraday field of activity) & can be ignored. For simplicity sake if 15 minute ,1h & 4h trends are in the same direction, you have a trade set up in the same direction (one could fine tune entry 0n 5 minute charts). In general if daily candle be in the same direction for any trade it is better but not A must.--Sir, what do you have to say?Any modifications?

Downloading of MACD-RVI not available. Too much of advertisements and there is not download link to download the above. Kindly send the attachemnt for study purpose.
If I am using a mobile phone, how do I set it up in terms of moving averages that can guarantee the same settings
Set your MACD to 6, 20, 10 from top to bottom. Inside the MACD(indicator window 1) insert a Moving Average with period 1, method simple, apply to previous indicator's data. That will ensure you've got two lines on your MACD. Finally you can add the RVI on the main chart, not in indicator window 1. That's it you're done.

What would happen if we take trades with MACD but close them with RVI? because RVI is not to precise to make entries like MACD (best as far as I've seen), and the RVI shows the crosses sooner, so it would be safer... right?
