The only reason they close Excalibur is when the Minnesota River floods. ValleyFair is built below the floodplain, and Excalibur is on the other side of the levy. So is the helix section of Renegade and Thunder Canyon. Also, having worked at Valleyfair, the pay there is competitive and better than other jobs available to the age group. The engineering department is incredible. Route 76 celebrates the year Valleyfair opened. In fact, Valleyfair is the "Fair" in Cedar Fair Entertainment as it was the first park Cedar Point purchased in the chain.
I went on Excalibur when it first opened when I was younger. It was the top coaster at the time at Valley Fair. This was before Wild Thing and Renegade. It was the shit back in the day! It's sad to see that it's going to be taken down. Enjoyed your video!
Is it actually being taken down? I know it flooded, but I haven't heard any closure plans.

@@coaster420 well it was initially gonna get torn down to add a parking lot to the Water Park but the city refused to let them do it. So as far as I know, it's gonna stay. At least for now. They will try again later.

The giant swings are a blast! My home park here in Tampa (busch gardens- Serengeti flyer) has one. It's amazeballs. Agreed about the way people are paid in parks. Its ridiculous. Here in Florida, Universal is one of the few that pays well. As for amusement park food, hate cotton candy!! Love your commentary. So funny. 😂 I ALWAYS do parks on weekdays. Fuck those weekend crowds. .

I'm a Georgia resident but my home Six Flags parks are Magic Mountain and Fiesta Texas.
Please don't ask why I have two home parks...
Steel Eel, Mamba, and Steel Force are some of my favorites because I’ve ridden them with very light trims and Mamba last month was hauling and was one of the best rides for airtime. Wild Thing was not as good as the other Morgan coasters
There used to be a store at Magic Mountain called Attitude and all it sold was Madonna stuff. Madonna was Warner Bros biggest artist in the 90’s so she had a store at Magic Mountain.
The Voyage is my number 1 coaster of all time, Hades blew me away when I rode it last month and it’s a total back row ride. Lost Coaster is amazing

I just did a month long coaster trip through the Midwest. Flew to Arkansas and from there went to Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota hitting every park in each state. It was a lot of fun
Cosmic coaster is a powered coaster so it’s not like the Zamperla kid coaster. I don’t count powered coasters in my credit count but I also stopped counting my credits after 700 because I really don’t care about keeping up with that.

@@coaster420 I just try to chill and have the best time possible when I’m at parks. When I’m reviewing coasters I’m looking for things I don’t like about them and I have such a better time when I forget all that and just ride. I don’t want to care about my credit count and try to ride stupid kid coasters for the credit. I’m not competing with kids that think they are enthusiasts that know everything. I like to make fun of them and the GP cause they can be ridiculous and they are easy to laugh at

I have only been to dorney out of those you mentioned, I absolutely love Dorney. It met even higher than my expectations!!!! Valleyfair looks so underrated too!!!
