Beautiful Card. Love the technique with the foil paper and watercolor. I am surprised how you cut thinlet without the precision plate and how to run it back through upside down. I taught a class today and trying to get it to cut by running through several times, then it was hard to get the butterfuly disconnected from the thinlet. Will try your technique. Thanks.
I hope the upside down technique works for you! It also helps those at my class remember to take a second to actually look and make sure everything is cut before popping them out. One more pass through the machine is so much quicker than trying to poke them!
Is the grapefruit grove shiny paper too much to use as the top layer? Would never have thought to use an embossing folder to change the sheen of the foil. Brilliant! I hope to recreate your card as it really shows off the whimsy of the butterflies.
Deborah Griffith no, I don’t think it’s too much for the top layer- playing around with layers for it and I am sure you can make it work! These dies are such fun!
