Thanks, I had never seen masking tape used like this before. Don’t be afraid to show techniques that have been around for a while. You never know how many people may have missed it back when it was new.
Oh my goodness, so many people have commented that it's new to them! I thought it was done and used loads. Im so pleased i could share it and a few versions of how you can play with it. Thank you for watching
Love all your makes. Interesting technique using masking tape. Lisa's interference inks are so effective on both black and white card. Thank you Sasha. x
Thank you Sasha for another inspiring video. I’ll definitely try this one! I still love the technique (the name eludes me, I’m afraid) of sticking tiny pieces of (beige) masking tape onto a card front, overlapping so there’s no spaces. Then swiping a dark coloured permanent ink lightly over the raised portions, then clear embossing. Such a great texture! 🇦🇺
Ahhhh!! This is new to me! Neat technique again Sasha!! The first and last are my faves! BRILLIANT tutorial!! 👏 you keep blowing my mind and your excitement is infectious!!😊
Never seen this done before. I like things that are different and not the norm. Will have to give this a try.Thinking,I have water reactive inks going to try them too. Have a bunch of embossing powders I don't use to much will try too. Thanks for Sharing. Always enjoy what you share.. Have a great week.
Hi Sasha. What a fun technique. They were all beautiful but my favourite was the silver embossing powder one. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Me too I like the middle one! And very helpful because I bought some big bold florals from Woodward and when I got them I couldn’t find what I needed for a background! I was afraid it would cover too much! But they’d work great on this!
Very inventive technique! I really like the image you get using the tape as a “stamp”. My favorites are the very first card (I love the colors on that one) and the silver embossing powder one. I love how you’re always experimenting with your supplies, it opens up lots of possibilities 💕
Sasha, I had never thought of doing this!! There is so many ways to make different cards but using the same supplies!!! Lisa Horton ink pads are one of my favorites!! And using the embossing powder was stunning!! So glad to see you again!!
@@SashaReade I know what you mean!! I have so many card fronts and starters that I could rent a storage unit!!! 😂🤣 You would understand that this is really not a joke if you could see my craft space!!
So, for those of us who are unfamiliar with stamping with masking tape, I have a question. It looked like you were inking up the sticky side of the tape. Is that correct, or did I see that wrong? I know you said this is an old technique & I do believe you, but not all of us are "old" crafters. LOL Anyway, I do love how your cards came out. I think those backgrounds are amazing, & thank you for sharing all the different variations. I hope you all are doing well. Take care, & have a fantastic day! :)
Oh my gosh, im so sorry! I cant believe i didnt say that! yes it's the sticky side that im inking. Thank you for checking. And thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts with me :)
You being in n the UK probably won’t help but, where did you get the shimmer white card? I love having shimmer cardstock and in colors but not so easy to find and can never tell how much shimmer it has in the photo on a webpage. That was pretty! Everyone loves these inks! I wouldn’t know what to do with them! lol I’ve rarely used black for a card unless it’s sympathy.

@@SashaReade Thank you for clarifying. No worries! I could kind of tell from the video, but just wanted to be sure. Hope you have an awesome day! :)
Love it, brilliant 🙂
Thank you love
The silver one is nice❤
I really liked the one on the Black paper! Love the look of those 'changing inks from Lisa Horton but they sell out SO FAST in the USA, Crazy!!!
oh no, i know she's been ordering more and more stock, hopefully she'll be able to keep up with the demands in America! They are amazing
Maybe do this technique with the gel plate?
Nice work.
Oh that could be loads of fun as well!
How fun, tfs ❤😊
Ohh you could do a tartan/plaid using that technique ❤
Could you use washi tape instead of masking or painters tape?
