Tough ride mate. A candidate for bun burner,
Got robbed in Southern Spain quite a few years ago and had no money to stay but just enough to get back to Calais for the ferry. Did the 1400 miles in just over 30 hours. Mrs not exactly happy but she still talks about it today. 1150GS with pillion and luggage. And mostly off peage! Still together despite this😁😁
Paul, you're a hero for going to support your mucka. Great video.
That is one hell of a ride. I bet you slept well. Totally mental but I’d swop places with you in a heartbeat. What a trip of a lifetime. Stay safe, have a fantastic time.
What a vid now that’s some miles 🏍️ total legend 👍
Have done that ride twice myself, and fair play to you, that's a right mission.
Hells bells dude, how did you do that ride. The darkness must've been so difficult. Anyway, gonna watch the next one now, great vlog Paul
Looking forward to seeing you joining Helmethead and Sidekick. Enjoy watching you 3 together.
Loved the ride paul look forward to the next one ps when me and my mates came down to North Petherton in September we decided not ring you for a taxi to go into Bridgewater when we were stopping at the walnut tree one of the lads was not well keep safe hope to catch you next time
Wow that was a long day.
The late exit made me chuckle, no harm no foul!
Haha, was a bit close. Glad you enjoyed this episode.
@@T_W_A_Tthoroughly enjoyed! Reminds me of when I did Andorra to Cornwall in a day. 1100 miles on a VFR, can relate to the long journeys.
You did a 150 miles on the peage that you need not have done. It’s shorter and quicker to come off the A10 at Poitiers and follow the N10 straight to Bordeaux. Shorte, quicker and cheaper.
Dammit I wish I had you as a sat nav that day David. I just followed Google maps which is supposed to be the quickest route. The no tolls setting came up a good 5 hrs longer.
A great watch showing the raw scale of your journey combined with the serious lack of sleep! Great job 👏
Well I just finished watching this at 0209hrs (in Germany) and am going to try to 'come down' from your ride thus far and get some sleep so that I too don't start getting bags under my eyes. Slowly sounding like it would have been quicker and cheaper and relaxing from Portsmouth to Santander 😉 ride safe 🤗
Those bags are a permanent fixture nowadays 😂. I looked at getting a ferry from Portsmouth or Plymouth but cost and timings just didn't work. Thanks for watching
I left UK last Wednesday to go down to Spain on my 250 cc
The pricing for this time of year is ridiculous
Finally settled for portsmouth - St malo
11 hour crossing with a cabin one way £123 ( that was a last minute booking and ride straight on the boat )
Earlier in the day when I looked it was £189
The santander ferry has become a joke, so just swerve it
Don't forget once your on the ferry you are trapped and you need deep pockets
It is easily £1000 to do santander return. I could ride it and spend 1/10th that by steaming through France.
@@dreamcrusher112 I'm just not a fan of France ( I boycott everything French) and refuse to travel vis Dover/ Folkestone/ Dunkirk. To UK from here in Germany it's Hoek V. Holland every time.
@@Wrong-Way-Round why would you boycott everything French
Jesus, what an epic journey for episode 1 ha ha, wow, seriously…I doth my cap to you..that’s crazy mileage 😳…enjoyed the vid cheers, ps, could I ask what helmet cam you’re using please?…and rsmf, Mark 😀👍
I'm using a go pro hero 8 with a media mod and purple panda lava mike with a chin mount from amazon. It does the job for now but batteries aren't great.
