I bought a new Gen 5 Driver on special offer a week and a half a go kind of ‘blind’ for £250. By sheer chance as it was being assembled I was lucky enough to see Jack Venn ( Master PXG Fitter ) at the Berkshire GC during an irons fitting for a friend. Jack let me hit the head in my shaft option and WOW! Then the club arrived.it’s longer , easier to hit, more forgiving and the acoustics amazing. I’ve hit some of the best drives ive ever hit today. Hats off to PXG - I think they have something well worth serious consideration.
Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade and Ping are all around $550 for their new drivers. I just got fitted at PXG for Gen 5 at $299. I think their price to performance ratio is unbeatable.
Same here. They even tried a better shaft for me but I was still hitting it the same. They told me to stick to the regular, no need to pay more. Products are great but also they costumer service n veracity of what they tell you and do for you.
The price is a temporary sale. It's going back to $499 at the end of the month. Glad you got it for that price! Even at that price, they're less expensive than any of the major brands. I got really lucky as well by finding a new 2020 model of a Cobra LTD for $300. I wanted an offset head which I couldn't find elsewhere on a driver I liked & am I ever pleased with it! It's so much easier to hit the middle of the face thanks to the offset which was exactly the problem I was having. If you're a slicer, this is the type of driver that will help straighten your shots. Obviously it's not a magic bullet as is nothing else as well. I'm not saying that this is the driver you should buy, but if possible, use an offset head model. It's just easier to square the face & hit it straighter.
Pxg pushing their clubs big-time on insta and Facebook. I went through the over the phone fitting with a pxg fitter. Waited 7 weeks for my gen 4 xf to arrive ...and I cannot hit the thing at all. Had a follow-up fitting with local rep. fitter recommended a completely different set up. Said he would see what pxg would do for me. Get fitted properly!
I bought a 12-deg 0211 driver this year for $199 and am very pleased with it. I am still getting my game back together after not playing much for 10+ years. My swing has more issues than the club, but I am getting the ball in the air better and hitting more fairways! My handicap has dropped from 21 to 16 this year, and the new 0211 driver has helped.
Gen 4 drivers only $219 w/ free shipping on PXG site now (Sept 2022). Crazy deal. Shaft options include Tensei Blue, S+, PX Riptide, Cypher, or Smoke Black.
After years of not hitting a Driver and struggling off the tee, in February of 2022, I decided to try the PXG Gen 4 AND get some lessons. PXG (And my coach Steve Fessler at Albion Ridges in Maple Lake , Minnesota!) stopped me from becoming a statistic - some one who gave up the game. I love love my Gen 4 XF! I’m hitting the ball further and straighter than I ever have and enjoying the game again. I’m in my late 60’s and a poor drive in 200 yards.
Just got my 0211 10.5 driver yesterday! They are running a monster sale at PXG, probably clearing inventory for new. Priced at only $119 U.S it was a bargain. Also picked up the 0211 3 wood 7 wood and 3HB for just $89 each! I have been wanting some PXG woods and these prices were crazy good. I think the GEN 5 are on sale for $189 for the drivers at the moment also.
I got this deal also back in October or September of 2022. $119 for the 0211 driver and $89 for fairway woods and they were all brand new of course. Shipping was free too. It was an incredible deal and I still like and use the clubs today in July 2023. I wish I had bought a bunch of the 0211 hybrids at the time for $89 a piece also.
I bought the 0211 last year and am very pleased with the performance. I chose the 10.5 head and a 55g Aldila shaft which is 1/2 inch shorter than standard shaft length. The sound was very different to my Ping G30 but I soon got used to it and hitting fairways consistently has improved my scoring. At £199 this is definitely a club to consider.
The Gen 5 is pretty tempting with the new price drop. I have an 0211 5 wood which I like and the more I play it the more I like it. When I put a decent swing on it I get good results. Recently picked up a 7 wood and a 19 degree hybrid so I will swap out according to the course I play. Also have a set of dc2s (2021) and a 52 and 56 degree forged wedges too. Most of my bag is PXG now.
I bought the 0211 driver. Had a 12 year old Taylormade burner which I hit ok. The 0211 is much longer (I may be in the minority) but I LOVE the sound!! With my military discount it was $199.00. A no brainer. Don’t be afraid to go PXG vs. the BIG names. Great performance and less money!!! I also lost my 7i a while back so I bought. PXG 0311 gen 3 7i and yes…..I love it!! 13 hcp here.
Great concept for a video. I picked up the PXG 211 driver for this season because of the ridiculously good value. It’s working well for me so far. I am happy with my choice.I haven’t had access to the other PXG models you feature here, but I’m not a media star who can jet off to Arizona for a personal fitting either ... Thank you for the interesting content, always enjoy your perspective.
I just bought the 0211 (COR2) 4-P for $300 US... As a +15...I think just buying a set/driver within 3-4 yrs will save you a boatload of $$$ while getting some pretty good technology that these clubs produce nowadays. Cheers 🍻 Thanks for sharing. ⛳️
I've been playing for a couple of months now with a free-fitted 0211 Driver with a Reg Project X Cypher shaft. It is an excellent driver and at £210 was absolutely incredible for the price. Why spend more?
I've just upgraded from 0211 to Gen5, Driver, 3, 5 & 7 woods. Added 50yds to a drive and 20 yards to the woods. Gen 5 is more forgiving and gives me more confidence, win win. Great clubs and great service from PXG
I have the Gen 4 XF 10. 5 Driver with a a ladies 40 Gram shaft and being 77 years young the ball flies off the head and I like the sound and it goes great for me, not sure I need to go to the Gen 5 yet as I really am not going to hit any straighter or farther than I am now.
I just got a Gen 4 Driver, Fairway, and 2 Hybrids at a fitting for ~$700US the same day as you posted this video. I know they're about to roll out some new stuff, but as far as value for cost in this moment, PXG is doing really well.
I have the gen 5 0311 driver and I absolutely love it, the weighting system fitted towards me has majorly helped, I was looking for a new driver and was happy to pay the £399 (bare in mind that's cheaper than alot of major brands) I tried the gen 4 too and liked it but the look of the gen 5 for me is far better and I just got on with it a lot more
Gen 5 on sale in US for $299 right now for a limited time and free shipping. Now that’s a great price if you want a PXG Driver. If I didn’t already have a TM Sim2 Max I would sure consider getting one.
For £250 as it’s currently priced at, it’s a steal. Free upgrade to Tensai shaft included which in my case dropped spin by 500 revs and improved dispersion massively.
I just bought the 0211 driver for $119 and the 0211 7w for $89. At those prices it just doesn't make any sense to consider a more costly option that doesn't perform that much better. Cheers!
Lovev the review, just getting back after a decade. First 4 rounds about 15 over, at 56 will take the start. Ordered a 0211 driver will be here in 2 days, can't wait
I have golf buddy I play a lot of rounds with. We hit the ball similar distances. And we both change clubs consistently. I have been using the 0211 driver the past six months. He has the new Stealth. And sure enough, if we both hit a good shot, we are out there right next to each other. So, is it really worth any extra cash for something more than an 0211? We’ll, that is up to the individual. But people should know there really isn’t much performance difference out there. At least in my experience.
Shaft options are key , not sure what you get with the different clubs but the more options to customise the shaft would influence whether I spend more money. It’s like F1, a car and driver perform differently depending on the tyres fitted.
I have the Gen 4 X driver. I've been playing around with different shafts. It seems like a 44.25 inch Project X Evenflow Riptide CD is giving me the most constancy without loss in distance vs the 45.5 inch version.
Gen4 and 0211 Have both and always go back to the 0211.. Love the sound off club face and the consistent distance and accuracy.. it's a fairway finder forsure...
The current Veterans price for me is $249.00. That makes this club a serious temptation. I am debating getting the Gen 5 as a backup driver for my Callaway Epic.
I bought an M-1 this year with a speeder 57 reg shaft used. then had the opportunity to get a PXG 0811x proto with a evenflow riptide A flex shaft in the used bin for 190$ CA, I hit both of rhem the same distance when I hit the middle LOL.
Got fitted for gen 4 in January and again in march after been told shaft was no longer available. Got a driver that is far more fade bias than old M4. Far more consistent and confident than before. Got hybrids that are much straighter too and taken left side almost out of play. Adjustable head weights make so much difference
I have the 0211 but with the difference down to £25 I have ordered the Gen5 and plan to put it away until next year the use the 0211 as my winter driver for the next few years
I bought the Gen 4 this past January. I was debating between the Ping 425 and PXG. They both felt good but the only difference I could tell was the Gen 4 was half the price. I've enjoyed mine all year. Lets just say that it will be staying in the bag for a while....
I just stumbled on a 0211 new for $119 on Amazon. They only have RH 10.5 regular flex and a LH 10.5 stiff flex. They Have the +-1.5 adjustable loft adapter of course.
I will say with the current price drop here in the States of $299 and free shipping the option is clear buy the Gen 5. Note that they have claim that the price will go up again to $499 on September 1st. So if you are looking for a new driver this buy is a no brainer…. I just purchased one to see the differences between Gen4 and Gen5 and forgiveness it has over the older model. Thanks again for the video, as usual very instructive information you provide. DP
I have the 0211 and really enjoy the distance and forgiveness it provides, having not tried it's 2 more expensive siblings I can't comment on whether if money was no object would I go for one of them instead. Unfortunately for me Andy budget is a big factor, the 0211 gives me confidence that I didn't have with my previous driver (Ping G25) and at £165 second hand it's a no brainer. Great content 👌
It's funny but last Friday I ordered the 2022 PXG 0211 driver with a 50 gr shaft at 45" for $219. Today I got an email from Callaway with the preorder info on the new Great Big Bertha driver, no options for the shaft and $699 intro price.
I just bought the Gen 5 with the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw 65 shaft at $299, Amazing, I have the Ping G425 in my bag right now but I couldn't resist the price and free shipping
155+ tax cad for the 0211... $175 for an x stiff driver tensei white 65g shaft seems like a steal, put in an order today to see if competes with my current gamer , if not sell if off for virtually no loss
Even with the customization, from the shots you put on video, it seemed the 0211 was straighter. You seemed to fade more with the Gen5. That is an interesting result. As of right now, the prices have dropped again and the 0211 is downright cheap- $119 here in the US.
Thank you for review, I'd pay the money , not sure why maybe a mind game but no doubt I'd go for it specifically for looks, big on feel and sound, I personally can't hit ping irons because of the sound idk just can't get by that sound. Great company, Great performance by ping in everything they do, but they have to change the sound of there Irons, Of course my opinion, Tony I game an F9 Cobra driver ,I'm thinking 3 to 4 years of technology went by, Great driver that year, but a miss hit youll pay for it in spin, distance ect,, My question to you is the drivers produced today ,do they give that much more forgiveness across the face ?? and Is it worth it to go for the Newest fancier equipment out there? Can't wait to see the Tietilist Driver line, should be coming out soon,,, Thank as always outstanding content!!
Thanks ANDY!! I wanted to know the differences but now I look at the site and the Gen 5 is $299! While Gen 4 is only $10 less and 0211 is $229. So I guess the question is does the extra $70 make a difference? And you didn't say if the shafts were all the same or differed, were all of the shafts the same?
I had myself 0211 driver with project x riptide evenflow regular shaft. That driver doing really great for me and the shaft really suit with me. I had try 0811 Gen 4 XF and also 0311 XF, and for my personal opinion, I more to 0211
Andy great review as always, my question is on irons if u can offer advice please? Gen3 irons are a crazy low price at the minute, would they be an upgrade from jpx921 HMP do u think?
Wondering if you found a difference in sound from Gen 4 to Gen 5. I love the performance of my Gen 4 but I hate the muted "dead" sound of solidly struck shots. My old Taylor Made R15 had a very loud metallic CRACK when I nailed a good one.
Are any of these worth the upgrade over a Mizuno ST-190? The prices are so tempting, but I don't want to be disappointed by performance/forgiveness compared to the mizzy.
This video should be like super short because what it should say is go get fit for a driver and find out which one is right for you, problem is they're not everywhere so you just buying what you think. You should have never buy a club you can't hit
I’m having a fitting in person in the morning. Looked online on PXG and found local shop for the fitting. Went there and found out that the fitting is with PXG and not the local shop but PXG comes to that shop and performs the fitting. Met the fitter as I was leaving the shop and scheduled with him for tomorrow. Had a fitting for Rogue, Cobra and Tour Edge today. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Currently GEN 5 DRIVER is marked down to 375 Canadian....GEN 4 is 360 Canadian and the 0211 is 285 Canadian.......I assume at these prices the GEN 5 is a no brainer.... Do you agree ? get them while they are hot i guess...cheers from Canada
I have fallen out of love with PXG. Several years ago, my company had a stellar year and for Xmas, I got full bag of PXGs for myself, my staff and their spouses who play (a total of 6 bags and all at a premium price). Perhaps they were over priced, but it was suppose to be a gesture of giving them the "best." We belonged to a private country club and the pride of ownership was similar to driving a luxury car. Sure something cheaper would be just as functional, but many of my staffers would never splurge on themselves in this manner. Personally I got the 0311 ST Darkness ($750 per club) and most of my staff got 0311T Darkness. Wedges were $650 per for Sugar Daddys.. drivers amd woods/hybrids with premium upgraded shafts and putters. Yes, paid a mini fortune. But again, it was a symbol of giving my staff the best possible gift for all their dedication and hard work. Now 2022, PXG is more synonymous with bad commercials, constant price changes, and no longer the "prestige" it once had. Can't hate the company for their change in direction. I understand things change or have to change. But it would be similar to saving a lifetime to buy a Ferrari, then having Ferrari build compact sedans meant to compete with Hyundai. Oh well, my bad.
Best channel to reference PXG clubs. I wish there were many more TH-cam channel reviewing PXG clubs. Good Job!
Cheers bud
I bought a new Gen 5 Driver on special offer a week and a half a go kind of ‘blind’ for £250. By sheer chance as it was being assembled I was lucky enough to see Jack Venn ( Master PXG Fitter ) at the Berkshire GC during an irons fitting for a friend. Jack let me hit the head in my shaft option and WOW! Then the club arrived.it’s longer , easier to hit, more forgiving and the acoustics amazing. I’ve hit some of the best drives ive ever hit today. Hats off to PXG - I think they have something well worth serious consideration.

Yep and now with heroes price it’s $249 with free shipping. Best deal ever
I purchased the PXG gen5 2 weeks ago. I LOVE it!

Good review, I bought a Gen4 at £285 really pleased and transformed my driving, much straighter and at least 30 yards longer than my old Cobra driver.

Cheers!
My buddy has a 0211 driver, it is really hard to beat, I hit my sim max well, and he is right next to me on drives, !⛳⛳⛳⛳⛳
I am gaming the 0211 for the last couple of years and today put my order in for the gen 5! Only £250 in the month of August!!
I hit the last year 0211 350y the other day
Never turning back🤩

Got the 0211 if you need a bit more adjustment get some lead tape it will save you a fortune
I’m upgrading from gen 4 to gen 5. I’m also changing shafts from diamana d+ limited 70 tx to ventus black velocore 7 tx. I can’t wait
Ventus black is a very good shaft if you have a fast swing (over 100 mph). For me, with a 93 mph swing speed the blue or red works much better.
Gen4 and 0211
Have both and always go back to the 0211..
Love the sound off club face and the consistent distance and accuracy.. it's a fairway finder forsure...
The current Veterans price for me is $249.00. That makes this club a serious temptation. I am debating getting the Gen 5 as a backup driver for my Callaway Epic.

Unfortunately for me Andy budget is a big factor, the 0211 gives me confidence that I didn't have with my previous driver (Ping G25) and at £165 second hand it's a no brainer. Great content 👌
Like you say a no brained
Brainer
!
@@TheAverageGolfer yeah "it's a no brainer" you've never heard that before? lol
Morning average golf, I have the Gen 4 but as of yesterday the Gen 5 is now £250.00
GREAT SALE ON THE GEN 5 DRIVERS......REGULAR 625 CANADIAN SELLING FOR 375 PLUS FREE SHIPPING.....JUST ORDERED ONE.....CHEERS FROM CANADA
It's funny but last Friday I ordered the 2022 PXG 0211 driver with a 50 gr shaft at 45" for $219. Today I got an email from Callaway with the preorder info on the new Great Big Bertha driver, no options for the shaft and $699 intro price.
If you can live with the graphics on the top of the Gen4 PXG are now selling these on their website for £209 including online fitting.
The 2022 0211 is the best performing driver PXG has ever made. No bells and whistles......it's a good old fashioned all titanium driver!
Very informative video. Getting fitted for PXG clubs today.
Good luck
I just bought the Gen 5 with the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw 65 shaft at $299, Amazing, I have the Ping G425 in my bag right now but I couldn't resist the price and free shipping
Thinking of doing the same thing. Currently have the Cobra extreme. Was that shaft an upcharge?
The Gen 4 is on sale right now in the US for $189. If you need a driver, that’s a steal of a price.
I hit Gen4 and Gen5. Wouldn’t change my Gen4 for performance nor looks
If you can do a review of the dark finish 0211 xcor2! I am really interested in those!
not in the market for a new driver, but just wanted to say very nice ball striking!!!
IG ad this morning has Gen 5 at $299. Seems like a great deal!
Great Vid Andy. Real eye opener
All drives looked pretty good to me - eye of the beholder ultimately
Great summary AG! I play the 0811x Gen 2, and the adjustability is a big bonus!
You really didn’t give a fair amount of time to the Gen 4 which I was hoping to hear more about.
Got fitted at PXG against my homemade Geek Golf DCT.
Didn’t find any improvement UNTIL
Ventus Red 45g regular flex. $375 upgrade 😔
That’s a good shaft. I gave it in the stuff flex and love it.
My guess is most avg golfers are not shaping shots. i'll take the bargain 🎯
Have a 0211 and really like it , but after getting fitted for a gen5 , feel it’s more forgiving and was getting between 15/20 yards better carry
It appears that he was swapping the heads out onto the same shaft. You see him using a wrench each time he talks about the different heads.
Great honest video
I had myself 0211 driver with project x riptide evenflow regular shaft. That driver doing really great for me and the shaft really suit with me. I had try 0811 Gen 4 XF and also 0311 XF, and for my personal opinion, I more to 0211
I think you should have chosen the gen 4 0811x for adjustability, distance, and price it's only 60 dollars more than the 0211.
Andy question ? your opinion which driver did you like all around for forgiveness and distance THE STEALTH or PXG GEN 5 drivers....thx...cheers
Andy great review as always, my question is on irons if u can offer advice please? Gen3 irons are a crazy low price at the minute, would they be an upgrade from jpx921 HMP do u think?
That’s a tough question, in my opinion they are more forgiving and have better feel but that’s my personal preferences
@@TheAverageGolfer thanks Andy
Wondering if you found a difference in sound from Gen 4 to Gen 5. I love the performance of my Gen 4 but I hate the muted "dead" sound of solidly struck shots. My old Taylor Made R15 had a very loud metallic CRACK when I nailed a good one.
Hi, are you going to look at the new xcor2 0211 irons from PXG? I know you rated the 2021 model highly
in the US, just saw today the price of G5 is now $299 and G4 is $289
Andy.... GEN 5 now £250 as of today. Time to make a new video!
Gen 5 is 250 in the UK right now!
Currently these drivers are at an unreal price.
Are any of these worth the upgrade over a Mizuno ST-190? The prices are so tempting, but I don't want to be disappointed by performance/forgiveness compared to the mizzy.
Price difference is now only £25 in the UK!
Surely gen5 at 250 which is their offer for august is a no brainer?!
When’s the review of new 0211 irons coming
Just bought the Gen 5 for £250!
0211 driver reduced to £129 on website …. Cracking price…
This video should be like super short because what it should say is go get fit for a driver and find out which one is right for you, problem is they're not everywhere so you just buying what you think. You should have never buy a club you can't hit
They have plenty of fitting days but also offer 60 days money back guarantee which is quite an offer
Problem is no fitting is available, you just buy online and hope you made the right choice of shaft.
That’s incorrect Steve, plenty of fitting days all over the UK and US?
And online (or on phone) fitting…
I’m having a fitting in person in the morning. Looked online on PXG and found local shop for the fitting. Went there and found out that the fitting is with PXG and not the local shop but PXG comes to that shop and performs the fitting. Met the fitter as I was leaving the shop and scheduled with him for tomorrow.
Had a fitting for Rogue, Cobra and Tour Edge today. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Well done.
Absolutely
Gen 5 is £250 at the moment a bit of
A coincidence Andy
You can get the gen 4 for £209 at the moment
0211 is on sale for 119.00 dollars makes my decision easy
You sound like a guy who would game a set of Honma Beres Aizu 5-star.
LOL
If I was gifted any full set of clubs, let alone a set of PXG's I would be super happy and simply go out and play them. No judgments necessary.
