Hi Jan, I'm glad you are feeling better. I don't like cold weather either. My hands have been aching, been slowly down my crochet. I love your colorful sweater and beads.I certainly didn't like being compared to my sibling when I was a kid. Oh my, so sad a story about your brother. My heart goes out to you. I did try once to start a family tree but I only joined one of those sites for a free month trial and didn't renew when it came to paying for it. I still have it in mind to do my Dad's side of the family as my cousin is only researching my Mum's side.
Hi Jan! We had Butterworths here in my city…and a hospital was actually named after them! Unfortunately, the hospital merged with another hospital, and the name has changed…but we still refer to it as Butterworth Hospital. Years ago, they used to have a nursing school…my ex graduated from their nursing school back in the early 70’s. I hope a cancellation comes up so you can have your troublesome hand taken care of!!!!!💜
Hi Diane, Which town is that so that I can tell my cousin George who is doing our family tree. He is interested in towns and places that are called Butterworth. It's like a hospital in Oldham ( famous for the first test tube baby) changed it's name but to locals it is still called Boundary Park Hospital. Also North Manchester Hospital is still called Crumpsall by locals.
Hi Jan! Butterworth Hospital (now Corewell Health🙄) is in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The hospital has been around for ages. Unfortunately, I really don’t know much of its history. Wouldn’t it be something if you were related to the founders??!! Hope you’re having a lovely day!💜

Thank you. I hope so too. it makes me angry when celebrities and Tik Tok influencers are getting young ones who don't need it to buy it. It certainly isn't a quick fix to lose a few pounds, It has to be part of a life style change.
That's rotten Jan. I hate it when we suffer side effects of medication. Sometimes wonder if they are worth taking. Oh I do know how it is to have older siblings. The nearest one to me in age was 15 years older, and he left the home for a job at 16. My sister was 18 years older, and promptly left home when I appeared and moved across Canada to Toronto to work. The brother in between the two of them, was 17 and just finishing high school and he went shortly after to become an investment banker. Oh it was a real "treat" when they came home for holidays with their spouses and children. It was like having 4 sets of parents telling you what to do all the time. So I get it. lol
My Brother and I got on much better after he married and had children of his own. Before that he led a very single life style and was rarely at home when I was a teenager and in my early 20's. My Mum was one of 16 children and the eldest ones were married when the youngest ones were born. My Mum always said that growing up in such a large family curbed her wanting more than 2 children.

Awww hope the side effects subside from the medication soon Jan. It definitely should be for those that need it only.
