Our 9yo daughter found milk bread at the local Japan shop yesterday and got excited to try making these - thanks to your clear instructions she and our 13yo daughter made their own today (they generously let me have one half!). So delicious!!! Thanks for making such easy to follow recipes (my rice has improved a LOT) - they are helping a new generation of foodies ❤
I have been wanting to do this forever and I ended up buying a shokupan loaf pan. It should be here tomorrow. Marking the bread with the marker to remember which direction to cut it, is pure genius! I am SO glad I watched your video! So beautiful.
One variation that I tried and like a lot: a thin layer of Anko on the bread before adding the cream gives it an additional layer of flavour and texture!
I personally love Fruit Sando! I eat it everyday for lunch and even as after dinner desert 😊Thank you for sharing the recipe too! I'll try it out like you did too 😆✨ Awesome Hope you stay safe and take care Taji-san 🙏🏻
I wonder if I have the patience to do this on a large scale, using cake instead of bread?... Radial symmetry for each slice! Must be a very special occasion.
Thank you so much for this video. I used to buy these sandwiches at 7/11 all the time. I would also go to a fruit smoothie stand that had pineapple vinegar soda and ginger and lime tonic, do you know how to make these drinks?
@@taijiskitchen Oh wow ... I could imagine it's a lot of effort to burn away that many calories. 😊😋 ... but I think it was worth it. Thank you for making it look effortless somehow. 👍
Hi. Today I tried this recipe. My fruit shapes were not that beautiful as yours so definitely need more practice :D Do you think it can be made gluten free also without wheat? Best regards, Anna
Hello my dear friend I am a big fan of your content I'm from Dallas Texas and I want to move to Japan permanently but I saw the video in which you say that the geographical location and natural disasters are very bad but I want to ask you are there many natural disasters in northern Japan Exactly Hokkaido I want to move to a quiet place without crowds and good for living.
true that Hokkaido have less natural disasters than other places in Japan. but it snows A LOT! but it is a beautiful place. I would recommend it. and yes we do have many natural disasters, but they don't come that often at all. I lived in Nagoya for about 20 years, but never experienced any devastating disasters. most places don't have that many or that often. so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Amazing! Just when you think there's "nothing new under the sun"... there turns out to be Somethin New Under The Sun.. And in the kitchen!
Adding the cheese and the bit of rum sold me on the idea! Thank you!

Wow, the picture on the cut looks perfect. 👍 Was this your first attempt or did you try this a few times before you became a master? 😊
I am not yet a master, but yes I did make at least five or so tries, before it was good enough to present to the rest of the world!

Marker is not good.
Interesting but I don't really think I would like the fruit, whipped cream and bread combo.
